I'm obsessed with Dragon Age.  Origins is the first game in the series and if you haven't played it, you should.  I'd venture as far as to say it's my favorite video game of all time.  So when I got PC Stitch I wanted to make a DA cross stitch design.  I chose the image on the game cover.  I started this in June 2014 and had to take about 3 months off when I was sewing for a craft fair.  Finished design size is about 12" by 12" give or take.  The colors are more vibrant in real life, but I couldn't get my camera to pick up on it even though I tried different variations of lighting.  So keep in mind that the reds are more red, but they're showing up a little pink in the pictures.

I'm so happy that I actually finished something this big and I'm really pleased with how it came out.

I got my boyfriend hooked on cross stitching!  I found this pattern for him on Etsy and gave it to him as a birthday gift.  He didn't want to start it until after he was done with his big Disneyland project.  Compared to that, this went very quickly for him.

It's on red aida, but my camera made it look kind of pink.

His stitches are so tidy

I read all the feedback to him since he doesn't have his own Craftster account.  Smiley

Great job!  I love the oval hoop.

I'm about 1,000 stitches away from finishing my Dragon Age cross stitch and I ran out of a prominent color. Arg!

Yeah, they were by the cross stitch kits at my store.

Thanks everyone!  I got the kit at Hobby Lobby and they also had the plain pendants to create your own.  The one I did is 13x13 squares so they stitch up pretty quickly.

Now that I'm finished sewing a billion things for a craft fair and I'm almost done (I hope) with my big project, I can get back into the hoopla along.  I'm excited for the January theme and I've already created my pattern for it in PC Stitch.

EDIT:
Finished my hoopla today!  It's my favorite Roy quote from the British show The IT Crowd.

Thanks! I'm hoping to finish it within the next week or so.
