261  The Prince and a lawn gnome (pic heavy!) in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by amigurl55 on: December 12, 2007 07:17:05 PM
My bf loves Katamari Damacy, so I made him the prince!  His legs are actually purple, but the lighting in my house was horrible so they look blue.  I got the pattern from anapaulaoli on Etsy.  He's about 19" from top of the antenna to toe.

And here's a gnome I made for my brother.  I got this pattern from Lion Brand Yarn's website (they have tons of free patterns!  I love it there!)

"Duuude, where'd this gnome come from??"

There they are.  What lucky boys to get such neat-o presents!

262  Catcakes in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by amigurl55 on: December 08, 2007 10:42:54 AM
I special made these for one of my Etsy customers- houseofsixcats.  I made the first two earlier this year and he gave them to his wife for their anniversary.  These next 4 are going to be her Christmas presents.

They're pretty fun to make.  I just took a plain ole' cupcake pattern and whipped up some ears and a tail to sew on.

263  Cuteness Overload! Pandas and dolls. *pic chubby* in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by amigurl55 on: October 17, 2007 05:50:35 PM
I've been in super-amigurumi-crochet-mode lately.  Here's what I've made.

All of these dolls are from the Ramona Peep pattern on roxycraft.com.

Christmas doll:

Hula doll:

Plain 'ole doll:

And the lazy panda pattern is by ChristieMN on crochetville.

And that just about covers it (for now....)

264  Birthday Jewelry in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by amigurl55 on: October 13, 2007 03:31:48 PM
My grandma's birthday was last month, and my aunt's and dad's gf's are this month.  I'm a jewelry making fool.

For my grandma.  She's picky.  I'm just going to take it back and keep it for myself if she doesn't like it.  lol.

For my aunt.  Bracelet and matching earrings.

For my dad's gf.  I could not get the camera to work for this one!

So anyway, there you go.

265  Funky Blue Clutch in Crochet: Completed Projects by amigurl55 on: September 27, 2007 02:40:24 PM
I'm really happy with how this turned out.  It's made from some clearance yarn I got at walmart.  I don't know if you can tell from the pic, but there is a little bit of sparkle in the yarn.  I made a little flower pin for it, too.

266  Emoticakes- now with pics that don't suck! in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by amigurl55 on: September 19, 2007 08:45:37 PM
I've been on a cupcake kick, and I thought it would be cute to give them little faces and personalities.

Hemlock.  He got into some cleaning supplies

Dwight.  He's emo.

Sandy.  She's a sweet little gal.

Vlad.  I don't think I need to explain Vlad.

267  Amigurumi! (Pic chubby) in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by amigurl55 on: August 24, 2007 08:13:43 AM
I am on a huge amigurumi kick right now.  Here are some amigurumi I've made recently.  I've made more, but haven't had access to a camera: horse, pig, super mario star, 2 more hippos....

Anyway, here's a whole bunch 'o' pics.

Kokeshi doll:

Weiner puppies.  The light one is for my bf, and the dark one is for my brother.  My brother wanted shorter, stubby legs:

That's all (for now.  bwahahaha!).  What do you guys think?

269  Cute Nintendo DS Case- *now with more pics and tut!* in Crochet: Completed Projects by amigurl55 on: August 07, 2007 07:31:42 AM
I had a hankering to crochet something, but I wanted instant gratification.  So I grabbed some yarn and made a coin purse.  It ended up on top of my DS and I thought, "Wow, that would make a cute DS case."  And thus, (even though I have a store bought case) the crocheted DS case was born.

I just winged it, but if you'd like a tut I can make another and write it down as I go.

OK, here's one I made for my bf in his favorite colors: Subaru Rally Blue and Yellow:

And the tut!  This pattern is for a DS Lite, but I have made notes for the original DS.

Size H crochet hook
Worsted weight yarn in 2 colors.  Main color= mc, contrasting color= cc
Scissors, yarn needle, etc.

With mc ch 16 (for original DS, ch 19)
Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and each ch accross.  Ch 2, turn.
*Hdc accross.  Ch 2, turn.*  Repeat until piece measures 14".
Change to cc and sc accross for 2 rows.  FO.

Fold piece with right sides together leaving a 3 inch flap.  Sew up the sides.  I usually add a dab of glue to hold my knots since they always seem to come out.  Turn so the right side is facing out.  Add velcro or a button for closure.

With cc, ch 4.  Slst into last st to form a ring.
Ch 6.  Slst into ring.  Repeat 4 times.  FO.

Sew or glue flowers to case wherever you'd like them to be.

270  The Joy of Plastics (pic chubby) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by amigurl55 on: July 22, 2007 01:50:48 PM
I work for a prototyping company that deals strictly with plastics.  I thought to myself "how can I benefit from this?"  One of the supervisors helped me design a cad file of a thin disk.  I took the disks home and decoupaged some stuff onto them.
