1  Re: Stash-Be-Gone-Along? in Knitalongs by Carmin on: June 02, 2007 07:09:52 AM
I have just finished a shawl in the most impossible yarn i had in my stash. It was dustwhite and in an unknown wool, acrylic, nylon mix. The threads sticks together an almost felts while knitting and it takes up all dust it comes in contact with. But now it's all gone and i have a nice shawl!  Grin

I must admit that Ive been a bit slow, after knitting another hat and started on a 40s sweather i haven't done much. That de-stashing shawl was inspiering. I must find a small project to work with when i get bored. Maybee some mittens...

One of the hats and the Ipodthing... I have used up almost all of this yarn.

My sweather: http://daturasartandcraft.blogspot.com/2007/02/songster.html
I have done half of the back piece.  Cheesy

4  Re: "My First" ATC gallery for all the fabulous newbie ATC Artists in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by Carmin on: January 31, 2007 07:51:53 AM
After admiring the talented ATCs here for a while i decided to make my own. For this ones i have used leftovers from printing, this is a larger etching i cut to pieces. Some acrylic paint, ink and other stuff later i had my first three ATCs. The texts is from poems i made.

Translation: ...so i kissed his fingers one by one. Closed my eyes and waited, waited in vain.

Translation: Face, Breath... Wait.

Translation:Up the hill, road... then the tree.

I'm in. I think i need this. Some of my yarn is so old, i think i even have yarn from my mothers piles.

I have a long time wanted to make a lacesampler scarf or shawl, i have a lot of vintage lacepatterns to use. And there is always use for socks.

I liked Wendyknits "Knit from your stash 2007" rules, I'm going to put them up on my blog.

6  80-s diaper in Vintage Craft Projects by Carmin on: January 15, 2007 01:27:23 PM
Found an old clip i saved since the eighties, what was i thinking???

Rough translation:

Sexier diaper has never been seen. Use it instead of shorts or bikinipants. How its done: Take a piece of fabric like a scarf. Take one of the short sides and tie it at the back over the bust. Take the other end down between the legs and tie it at the waist, fold and roll it up so that your new costume becomes minimal.
