1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Chunky Houses Halloween Edition Rnd 2 Gallery on: October 28, 2011 06:23:29 PM
Sorry for the delay with posting this guys, I've been working mega super over-time at work the past few weeks and have consistently been coming home and falling asleep. I haven't managed to get candy for the trick or treaters or carve my pumpkins yet either. Yeesh!

Anyway, here is my fourth and final fantastic Hallowe'en house from GoatGoddess:

The text says:

There hot is cold and cold is hot,
and what is thick is thin.
And what you see if seldom so,
although it might have been.

It is a sad, delightful place.
You'll like it if you try it!

And here's the back:

And, this is the house I sent to TheSavoryTruffle:

Thank you all for an awesome swap! Happy Halloween! Grin

I received two more awesome Halloween houses; my little town is really shaping up well. Smiley

First, from TheSavoryTruffle:

Zombie Sheep! This one made me laugh as soon as I pulled it out of the envelope. I love the flailing skeleton and the fact that one of the sheep has a foot sticking out of its mouth. Cheesy

Here is the back:

Next, from Killam Creative:

Check out this dapper fellow! He's embossed as are the big sparkly swirly bits (which are amazing and I want to know how you did them!). The fit in really well with the pretty dresden trim along the top and the big chunky ribbon at the bottom.. I just want to keep touching it. Wink

Here's the back of this one:

Thank you both again for the excellent houses, I love them! Grin

I'd love to see a magic swap happen! Cheesy

I'm glad the houses are arriving safely! I was a little worried about them since they're so much chunkier than the ones I've made in the past.

As for the skull, that was a happy accident that I hadn't even noticed until you mentioned it! Cheesy The bird paper is some of my favorite, and while I've been hoarding it since I bought it (I'm one of *those* people, lol) I had perfect house sized chunks left after another project and couldn't talk myself into not using it. It's from one of Martha Stewart's paper pads from -I think- 2 years ago.  Roll Eyes

Between the witchy birds, the secret passageways behind doors and the little felt zombies this gallery is seriously amazing. Sort of makes me wish I had enough time and energy to have made 20 houses so I could swap with all of you. Cheesy

I received an awesome chunky pumpkin from irid3sc3nt! I love it. Cheesy

The whole thing is slightly less blue tinted in real life (my camera is being fidgetty this morning) and those dark orange pumpkins are actually metallic orange. The cat is actually raised a bit so he looks like he's just popped out of the pumpkin and startled the kids. Cheesy

Here's the back, which she painted up to be a cute jack-o-lantern:
7  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Chunky Houses Halloween Edition Rnd 2 (Mail by 10/15) on: October 03, 2011 05:34:06 AM
I finished up all of my houses today. Now I just need to take pictures and get to the post office. That last part is way trickier than you would think, since I work at a bank that actually has longer hours than they do. Good thing I get lunch break.  Wink

I'm not even going to lie, I had more than enough paper to make my houses here in my ridiculous paper stash. But, that didn't stop me from buying a stack and a few sheets... you know, just in case.

... I think if there were a recovery group for paper addicts my DH would ship me right off.  Grin

Those houses are awesome, I love the different mediums you both used and all of the papers too. You're making me want to go shopping for more paper.  Roll Eyes

Wow - this gallery is seriously made of awesome! My wisting/pinning fingers are getting tired. Cheesy
