1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Lamp shade/ couch skirt... on: October 20, 2008 07:48:31 PM
Here is a skirt I made awhile back. It was originally just the mock up, I picked the ugliest fabric I had, but I ended up really liking it.  Despite the comments I received about looking like a lamp shade/couch I continue to wear it obsessively haha The pictures  make it appear quite unattractive, I apologize.

please ignore the see through shirt and awkward pose haha

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / conserve water. shower together curtain. on: August 02, 2008 05:08:12 PM
I couldn't find any shower curtains that I liked. So I decided to stencil one that I had. This was my first stenciling project. At first I tried wax paper, but it didn't stick when I tried ironing it on. I changed to ironing the wax paper stencil on with stitch witchery. The stitch witchery residue was very difficult to remove and I wasn't able to clean it all off( the stuff around the "conserve"). I then tried normal paper, which bleed and didn't leave clean lines. Finally I just traced the outlines of the images on the fabric and filled them in. whew. It was one of the most frustrating projects I've done lately. The whole thing says "conserve water. shower together." and pictures two birds Smiley
