1  Lamp shade/ couch skirt... in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by randomjunk_queen on: October 20, 2008 07:48:31 PM
Here is a skirt I made awhile back. It was originally just the mock up, I picked the ugliest fabric I had, but I ended up really liking it.  Despite the comments I received about looking like a lamp shade/couch I continue to wear it obsessively haha The pictures  make it appear quite unattractive, I apologize.

please ignore the see through shirt and awkward pose haha

2  conserve water. shower together curtain. in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by randomjunk_queen on: August 02, 2008 05:08:12 PM
I couldn't find any shower curtains that I liked. So I decided to stencil one that I had. This was my first stenciling project. At first I tried wax paper, but it didn't stick when I tried ironing it on. I changed to ironing the wax paper stencil on with stitch witchery. The stitch witchery residue was very difficult to remove and I wasn't able to clean it all off( the stuff around the "conserve"). I then tried normal paper, which bleed and didn't leave clean lines. Finally I just traced the outlines of the images on the fabric and filled them in. whew. It was one of the most frustrating projects I've done lately. The whole thing says "conserve water. shower together." and pictures two birds Smiley

3  my retro/thrifty/colorful/insane room (img heavy, beware) in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by randomjunk_queen on: November 10, 2007 10:31:33 AM
I've been meaning to post this for the longest time, and now that I going to have to move Sad I thought "now or never". Oh, and my room is almost never this neat (i suggest not opening the closets or looking under the bed)Now, Here is my indescribable bedroom

my door

the form in the corner was my moms when she was a teenager. the  cat (the fat  blob of fur) match perfectly with the rest of the room.

My great grandfather made the bed and my great grandmother made the comforter.

you can see the corner of my Breakfast Club poster on the wall. I painted the jewelry box, and the I got license plates and records at a thrift store a while back

my lovely sewing machine, and some of the monuments of my childhood ( and I'm not talking about the elmo and carebear, i got those this year Smiley )

my computer playing the avenue q soundtrack

When I move I'm going to have to decorate a new room. So, if anyone has any paint color suggestions, decorating ideas, etc, I would much appreciate them. I have a very eclectic style so ideas are always welcome!
