HAHAHA... Ok, I just thought of something... Thanks to bookworm this topic has become a HOT topic! and hence, bringing MORE attention to it, MORE people to it, and MORE thought to it... Isn't it wonderful?? THANK YOU BOOKWORM!!! Oh well, he probably hasn't come back since... He probably doesn't even know how popular he is... heeheehee!!
Other than that, I love this wonderful example of penile art... It's very CUTE... And though I like the penis in general, I don't often think of it as CUTE... So YAY for you! I'm sure you probably didn't expect such a wave of controversy, huh? Because we ARE in a pretty open minded comunity.
I will jump on the boat and say this... IT IS NOT PHOTOREALISTIC... it is a stylized interpretation. Said that, think of ALL the phalluses we sorround ourselves by, and if we were to throw a bitchy fit everytime we saw one, and actually got somewhere with it, we'd find ourselves without:
microphones, cordless phones, remote controls, cellphones, shampoo bottles, some drinking glasses, sky scrapers, the Tower of Pissa (hello!
), the Washington Monument, tall hats, POPSICLES, bats, hairspray cans, soft grip pens, chalk, LIGHTHOUSES, most ergonomic design... not to mention the vegetable section in our supermarkets! (zucchinis, cucumbers, carrots, yuccas...)... and if we want to get slapstick, rockets, fast trains going into tunnels!! hahaha (aaand maanyyy moooore!)
The point is... it is a shape not only abundant in NATURE, but also embeded in our subconscious. And this one in particular, I dare repeat, is NOT PHOTOREALISTIC...
It is obvious that some people have issues that run way deeper, but to otheres that are moved by honest, good natured concern... honestly, a crocheted phallus is as harmless as a lovebug (those who have lived in florida know what I mean)...
I'm kinda sad that this topic has become a morality battlefield, but then again, I'm also chiming in, aren't I?
