21  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: Fiber Friday 21 September 2012 on: September 21, 2012 12:37:33 PM
Yay! I can participate! Cheesy
This was my first time spinning. I got this awesome beginners spinning kit from the wonderful jexxican when I was visiting New Mexcio. I am in <3! I've gone through pretty well all the roving I got with the kit and I'm addicted. {to yet another fiber craft Wink } I can't wait to get  more. It's just plain ol undyed wool roving, single ply.  Smiley

jexxican I love what you did with the batts! They're gorgeous!
22  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Re: Tulle bustle for showgirl costume-need help on: September 20, 2012 05:11:22 PM
Depending on how much like that tutu you want it to be, it should be pretty simple I think. That one looks like it has many layers, but they're all sewn to the band. I would figure out how full you want the bustle to be, and if you want it to be all one color, how long and how many layers. With the ends, to get that pixie look, you can just fold the tulle in halves and just keep folding until you get something manageable to cut across the bottom making the points.  Smiley

24  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / HELP! White Speedylock 234DE serger! on: October 21, 2008 11:27:42 PM
Hello all! I hope to all hope you can lovely people can help! Recently I received a free serger from a friend, upon opening I found there were instructions, in Spanish. I don't speak Spanish. And no helpful disc in English. Does anyone else have this machine? If so, could you point me in the direction of where to get a manual? Or anything? I've looked online and the machine itself wasn't hard to find. Just getting a hold of the manual itself seems hard... So, help? Embarrassed

26  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Elephant purse pattern on: July 06, 2008 04:16:07 PM
It looks like to me that the details of the elephant are completed after sewing the body of it. I hope that helps some! Good luck!  Cheesy

30  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: How do I line my unlined journal? on: June 13, 2008 04:43:30 PM
Thanks so much for all your help! Cheesy I decided to go with just a clear ruler and a thin pen. It works well, and looked really clean once I got the hang of it! I haven't finished lining it yet, but will post pictures when I am for those that are interested. ^_^

Thanks again!
