Thank you! I'm pleased with how the colors came out. I think I got 67 yards or so, an ounce in weight. I have no idea what in going to do with it yet. But whatever I do is going to smell amazing! Jess that's a lot going on! I bet it was so much fun getting to learn how to prepare the fleece.

Well Hello everyone! I've been mostly lurking, but now I have another project of mine to share! It feels like my first real project on my new(ish) spinning wheel. It started out as some plain undyed off-white roving.
Here is a before picture, after I spun it but before I dyed it. A little overspun in some places, and thick and thin too.
 I <3 it though.

It's also my first foray into kool-aid dying. It's so much fun! I tried to go for a kind of ombre effect, between black cherry and orange. Alas I did not know black cherry is such a strong color! It almost worked Wink

So what is everyone up to?

Thank you all for your wonderful comments! Ewulotta, I'm not even sure how to begin explaining how I made it XD

Yay! I was hoping it would be a learning toy :3 I'm big on the learning. That zebra is pretty darn cute! I'm thinking I may have to make a couple more for people, it was a big hit when I posted it to my fb.

Hello all! This is my first venture into sewn toys, and boy was it a challenge! I made this for a personal swap I did with jexxican, who in turn sent me some very lovely yarn. The pattern was created by me, which probably was half the project honestly. But when you can't find anything like what you want online you have to make do, right? Smiley Onto the pictures!

It ends up about 11" tall, and I think 12" at it's widest. It can stand by itself.

All the pieces come apart. It has no velcro or magnets or anything to keep it together.

Aaaand one with the zebra I also made for the swap cause I'm all proud of it Smiley

It didn't turn out quite like I expected (do they ever?), but I learned so much! Comments and (constructive) Criticism are appreciated. Smiley

Alexus, can I just say how much I love your rainbow yarn? That is pretty close to my favorite combination of colors ever.
Belladune, your thick/thin yarn is so cool! I second jexxican in thinking how lucky you are to have spinning as homework Smiley

Jesssssss!!! The yarn is beautiful and I love it! I can't wait to use it! Is llama pretty soft? I'm so glad the items I sent were such a bit hit!
Belladune, your golden fleece yarns look sumptuous!
You know bunny1kenobi, jexxican's learn to spin kit is the reason I got into spinning in the first place a couple of years ago. Careful, she's a craft addiction enabler Wink

That hot chocolate batt looks downright delicious!
Rodelphia, omigoodness I love that black one. And the pink looks just like cotton candy! Jexxican, your bubble yarn is always so cool!
