I'm going to cosmetology school and they require us to wear scrubs. I think it's kinda odd, but scrubs are comfy. I have a question though, how do you get the v-neck piece on? I made another top last night and the collar isn't laying flat. sorry for the blurry pic

Well I've decided it's a lot cheaper to sew my own scrubs for school than it is to buy them, so I made my own cut out...no pattern just eyed and here is my final creation. I like it, but I'll change my pocket placement on the next and hopefully find my thread stash. I might also try to make a v neck next.

Hi guys,  I was wondering if anyone had an idea on how to make a coconut purse like all those souviniers(sp) you see in Hawaii and Mexico. I can hollow out the nut, but how do I get smooth and attach the linning and zipper? Thanks, Rita

Those are the same things Icame up with but I've seen a few finnished ones on the plainly dressed website and as far as I can tell they dont have sams on the shoulders. That's what is stumping me. I was wondering if someon could help me figure out how to cut this apon out. I know it's only one piece and the only place you hve to stitch up is the middle part of the H in the back. Please help! I've tried every way I can think and can't get it cut out in one piece. Thanks

I'm faid I can't afford patterns now or it looks anytime soon. I'm unemployed and work is very scarace. I had planned to use old clothing and stuff to make my dresses and bonnets. Anyway, I would really like to make a heart bonnet the most. I have an idea that might work if someone doesn't mind doing me a favor. I don't live in an area with Amish or Mennonite (their all abt 100mi N) and was wondering if someone that did live close might give them a letter from me asking on how to make the clothing or just ask one of the women for me, something along those lines. I could send you my address or I a letter.
