2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / hood? on: April 14, 2007 02:33:55 PM
does anyone know of a tutorial or a free pattern for making a hood?  i tried to make one to attach to a shirt recently and it was disastrous.  i based it off of a hoodie that i have, but i definitely did something wrong.  any help will be greatly appreciated.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / starry dress on: April 14, 2007 02:31:57 PM
i made this dress loosely based on american apparel one that i have.  it came out really well.  i think i'm starting to get better at this.

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / is that the easter bunny? on: April 11, 2007 07:03:50 AM
so i knew that my dog would not tolerate bunny ears on her head, so i gave her a bunny tail.  i made this super easy fleece shirt based off of an old navy dog sweater that i had.  i then sewed a cotton tail on the back.  it turned out super cute even though she kept pulling pieces of her tail off!  this picture doesn't show the shirt very well, but hopefully you get the idea.

5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / its got character... on: March 13, 2007 05:46:40 PM
so i tried to make a journal.  it didn't turn out as well as i hoped, but there is something very handmade about it that i like.  at least now i think i know how to make the next one better.

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / he likes it! on: March 13, 2007 05:42:00 PM
i made this for my boyfriend for valentine's day.  its a gray american apparel t-shirt with machine stitching.  he's worn it twice so i guess its a success!

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / it was supposed to be "ridiculously easy"... on: March 13, 2007 05:39:13 PM

sorry that i look so grumpy in the picture.
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / camera bag on: January 31, 2007 06:57:08 PM
my boyfriend got a small, vintage camera for christmas, so i made him this bag to keep it safe and sound.  it has both a zipper and a flap and a long messenger style flap.  i combined a few tutorials and ripped it apart a few times to figure it out.  minus a slightly crooked zipper, i think it came out pretty well and he seems happy with it.  any feedback would be great.

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / spice up a ribbed scarf? on: January 26, 2007 10:07:27 AM
i knitted the "ribbed for her pleasure" scarf from snb for my dad for christmas.  two problems arose.  first, i wasn't done in time and second my mom had crocheted him a scarf in almost the exact same color.  its just a neutral medium gray.  anyway, i have now finished knitting, but i was wondering if anyone might have any ideas for making my scarf somewhat different from hers.  i'm a pretty much a beginner and this is the first thing i have used both the purl and knit stitch so it can't be anything too complicated.  any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
