1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Positive Energy Swap Gallery on: June 11, 2007 05:31:14 PM
So finally I'm here with pictures (I'm always slow...prolly has something to do with 4 jobs, too many hobbies...) from my fabulous goodies that I received from HIPPIESISTA:

Probably my fave thing EVER! A peace deco box and a knitted pocket bag with charms and a note about what each one represents...

Some of my gifts fitting in excellently colorwise on my side table (a framed Plato quote, incense and burner, and an AWESOME collection of positive and inspiring pictures and quotes in the photo album with room to add...

And the final touches..

In case I haven't expressed yet how much I LOVE IT ALL!!! My BFF saw everything and was worried about the competition for giving me the most perfect-for-me present ever! It's like you actually know me hippiesista!

I received from Steen!!

My crocheted veggies!!:

and my Marshall with 3 of the 4 toys that he is supposed to be sharing with his brother (I made the mistake of letting them see the toys before i took pictures, and I can't find the other crocheted mouse because my boys put them in weird places such as the water bowl, the sink, my bed...)

Well my partner never posted pics Sad and I forgot to take some before I sent the picture ...double Sad

BUT...there was one ironic item that I've been dying for everyone to see/know about

We were both vegans/don't use animal products at all, so I bought a bacon microwave cooking tray and added a notepad, magnetic strip, pen and decorations, then magnets to the back too. So it's a fridge memo board!

And I made a kick butt (IMO) apple dishtowel from a $1 sack and tee shirt scraps.

Hi! Im Sally, 25 as of today (May 2nd)!! I live in Philly, PA with my 2 cats and work as a puzzle editor, and teach knitting and general craft classes. It was hard for me to write a list because I am a super un-picky, people-pleaser and want you to enjoy making my gift, but here goes (followed by some general likes):

*An apron

*A clutch or wristlet

*A sewed project I have no sewing machine and envy those that do

*Buttons/pins/badges, grocery tote, tee shirt (M), etc. with earth-friendly quote or picture

*A big ol slouchy hobo bag in a funky print or bright colors
THANKS SAKANASEA!!

*Handspun yarn

*Toys for my 2 spoiled rotten kitty cats Marshall and Julius say: THANK YOU STEEN!!!

*A kit for a new craft/hobby (i.e. a how-to, on anything really except knitting)

*A strawberry shortcake (or one of her friends) inspired anything

*Amigu(okay I sooo dont know how to spell that word) fruits and veggies Thanks Steen!!! ... I'm doing a bowl display of these on my coffee table!

*Funky cutting scissorslike, those zigzag ones and wavy lines

*Your favorite thing to make! Oooo Suicidal Angel makin' me surprises! THANK YOU!!!

*Something from/inspired by my wists

*Surprise Oooo Suicidal Angel makin' me surprises! THANK YOU!!!

I like fun and unexpected color combos, and esp. a neutral with a bright (brown and pink, teal and brown, green and purple, army green and pink, khaki and pink, pink and pink.okay I like pink.)

Im vegan and I don't drink.

Im kinda a hippie, kinda a girly-girl, kinda the coolest person ever (second, of course, to anyone who makes me a birthday gift!)

I love classic rock and have a record player.

I like kitschy-ness, patterns from the 60s and 70s, big prints, cherry blossoms, nature, trees

Sending recycled/reused/revamped materials is encouraged  Grin hehe
