1  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / My bobbin is a mess on: January 23, 2007 04:59:33 AM
I am new to spinning on my Babe Production Double Treadle. I am getting the hang of it pretty good, & having a great time:

Reading the posts here has been a great help for problem solving - thank you all! One issue I am having has not been addressed, though: The threads stack up on my bobbin really untidily, in a big pile near the bobbin whorl but none filling up the rest of the bobbin. It's almost touching the flyer, so I scrunch it forward on the bobbin to make more room. Naturally it gets all tangly later when I go to unwind & ply. Howcome everyone else seems to have neat tidy bobbins that look like giant spools of thread & mine looks like crap? Please tell me what I am doing wrong!  Huh

thanks again!
