this same dress, if you plan on an arrangement of colors, patterns, a texture, you can make a haute couture skirt out of it, push your idea, keeping making more and more and have a sheet of paper on which you lay out the scraps that would best look together, experiment, i am sure you can make something very "couture" with it. you even can go "trashy couture" or urban jungle, it still would be couture. Zaz, france. good work!
thank you so much! i've been looking for a pattern now the whole afternoon, that's so clever! those remind me of the slipper pattern my grandma used, of course!!! so clever of you to vamp them... i found other ones based on a sock pattern (of course!) but i am french and don't knit socks nor wear them. Zaz, paris

hello, i live in Paris and i am french, was looking for a knit along for Marilyn before i go on creating one. i had bought some pink skeins in a mohair/wool blend and then bought some acrylic to blend with to make the yarn thicker and because the mohair/wool one is not that smooth, i got it off a sheep and goats herder, the mohair is without any "hairs" actually, but very interesting. it's funny how two of you here have made the same pattern but the collars look totally different!!! anyway, if any of you knows of a knit-along for this one, let me know...
i live in paris, thers' this bookstore that i go to to knit on saturday mornings called "brentano's", google it, they also have a blog. so, they sell american and french books linked to crafts. they put up a table for us and let us have coffee and eat cake on saturdays, also have a small section for natural spun fiber skeins and bamboo needles, contact them for your idea of booksigning?! maybe we could do a swap there, we already had one for christmas where everyone used one ball of yarn to make just anything they wanted. we put our wrapped gifts in a BIG bag and a draw was made and each went back home with a present, cool, huh?
i am new here, i have been looking at projects and reading for a long time. i am french but that's irrelevant, heh. i was wondering where the business forum was, how to look for it, cause i'd like to post photos here (don't know how that's done) but i also sell my stuff, so yes, i would not like them to be copied. everyone will know that it's hard to make money from patterns, so i know you will unerstand. now please help me out with: 1) finding that business forum 2) posting photos of new stuff i knit.
i am french, parisian. i had my knits exhibited in le marais blanc-manteaux. i design, i especially love the fun edge that crafsters people have, my designs are about that but with a romantic touch, i believe. would love to post some pictures, can anyone show me around? thank you :-)
