I am looking for a hat for my friend's husband's birthday.....that is tough to type and say!  I was thinking of the pattern in the Stitch-n-Bitch book but decided to check with you knitting gurus first.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

I want ot make the charm purse in the Stitch-n-Bitch book but Noro has discontinued the Gemstones yarn.  I do want a variegated (spelling?) yarn with the same type of luster that Gemstone's had.  Any suggestions?
