1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / My latest interfacing foundation/applique quilt top on: December 14, 2004 09:21:32 AM
I like the neat designs you can do with foundation quilt blocks but I absolutely hate the process so...I took a pattern and cut out the pieces and then adhered them to a block of super lightweight fusible interfacing.  Then I zigzag stithed over the butted edges which then became another design element in the quilt top.   Then 4 of each were sewed together the regular way and then sashing of the patterned cottons.  I like the way this one turned out and I am exploring other patterns that I can do this way.  Enjoy and Happy Holidays!!

2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Anybody try selling their original purses on ebay on: November 02, 2004 02:33:12 PM
Good evening all!

All of you are so very talented, has anyone ever tried to sell their own purses on ebay?  I just did a random search of cotton purses and there are hundreds!!  Not very encouraging if one was to try to make a sale on ebay.

Anyone try to sell your wares on ebay?
3  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / How do I wash quilt tops? on: June 14, 2004 12:08:28 PM
I made several quilt tops(cottons), each basically the same color scheme and did not prewash the fabric.  Now I want to sell them, but want to wash them first, so the go to the customer clean and prewashed/shrunk.

My question is, what method can I use to wash them, to minimize bleeding and distortion/shrinkage?

I just finished washing my ENTIRE stock of fabrics so this won't be an issue anymore.

Thanks!
