OK, here is my card this week.  Painted the watercolor motif (not my best medium) on watercolor paper, then of course I made the peacock stamp and outlined with a silver pen. 


I am running behind right now.  This week I started back to college.  After almost 20 years!!!!  But I think I'm getting settled in now.  Maybe I can get back to the boards.  Everyone's work is so great and really inspiring.  Sorry I'm running behind on commenting.

Here's my card for this week.

I made a stamp of the design at the bottom and tried to ink it in a metallic ink.  Didn't go so well and ended up going over it with my gold paint pen.  But I did make the stamp.  I'm going to redo this one.  The more I look at it, the more I really don't like it.

It's a great stamp design, though, so I went ahead and posted it.

Featuring my very first handmade rubber stamp!!!  That's what I'm learning (this week anyway) so all my cards will have a different stamp I'm carving myself.

OK, so I downloaded the free GIMP digital imaging software today and just began playing around with it.
So be gentle.  This is the very first image and ATC that I've managed to come up with.


I have an extreme lack of photos of myself at home, so this is best I could think of for now.

I was 'challenged' to make an ATC with nothing but wire.  I finished two before my fingers gave out.

The first is a spiral inside a frame.  Very colorful, heavy but sturdy.  It's springy and bounces when you move it.


The second one is a tree.  Mostly in gold and blue tones.


Both, of course, are pretty much 3-d.  And the white is only background for photos (wire only, no card background.)

I know the challenge was a little non-traditional, but would they qualify as ATC's normally?  They are the right size, but they really aren't cards in any way.  More like just miniature wire sculptures.

All of them are great.  The fabric cards posted today have truly inspired me, though.  For someone who mostly uses fabric and fiber art in my other projects,  I haven't really incorporated either into my ATC's.  Thanks for the reminder...

Here's some I have been working on today (while I try to get over the flu ).

Here is a group I made just because I was inspired by the clip image of Marilyn I found on a clip art CD.  I really love these.  Unfortunately the scans were awful on the thicker ones. 


The image on the third card is black and white just like the others, not gray.  And it's hard to see the filament wire on number four.
I'll get the camera out tomorrow and see if that works better.

I am having too much fun.  I may be getting a wee bit addicted here
These were also created for another themed swap, but I will get some up for trade soon (at least at the rate I'm going)
