1  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Fused glass with opaline striker balls and Hanovia gold on: August 20, 2014 03:47:47 PM
This is ~16 inches long and is the second in a series. The first was a wedding present for my niece who married a wonderful Dutch man (hence, the name: Huwelijksgeluk). It's hard to see the fine lines of gold paint in this picture, but they sparkkle.
2  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Easter Card 2014 on: April 19, 2014 03:17:19 PM
Not the best scan, but this is the back and front of our Easter card for family and friends. Making the glass egg was easy; coming up with the rest of the design took much longer.  Smiley
3  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: This year's holiday card on: December 24, 2013 11:58:03 AM
Thanks!
I use rubber cement to attach the glass to the cards (so people can remove them to use as ornaments, pendants, or pins) and mail them using padded envelopes. No casualties that I know of! The glass isn't as fragile as it looks.
4  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: The Rain Puddle Tray on: December 24, 2013 08:48:36 AM
Very cool design! Can you describe the process? Is this a glass tray, or ceramic? Glazed?
5  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / This year's holiday card on: December 24, 2013 08:46:08 AM
Just showing off the Christmas card we sent this year - Mistletoe!. We do ~75 glass cards each year, and I use it as an excuse to try something new and fun (this year it was wire wrapping).

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Morse Code Necklace on: January 02, 2011 02:57:18 PM
I saw something similar online with gold-filled beads. Not in my budget, so decided to make my own.
This is a name (CATHI: | | | | ) in Morse code using tube and crystal beads, with seed beads for between letters and on either side.

Might be fun to try with other names, or sayings, or even gold-filled beads!

7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Gift for marathon runner? on: April 17, 2010 02:43:38 AM
One of my coworkers is participating in the Boston Marathon on Monday. I would love to decorate her cube or leave a treat on her desk for when she returns. Any ideas? I'm stuck. Undecided
8  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Crazy Cabinet Knobs on: April 07, 2010 02:41:00 PM
Very cool! I love the whimsical designs.
Would you be willing to share where you found the hardware to turn these into cabinet knobs?
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: iPod Valentines on: February 13, 2010 04:24:02 AM
These totally rock! (pun intended)
10  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Octopus Overload!! My Tentacle Facination w/ tute! on: November 20, 2009 01:09:51 PM
Thanks so much for the tut. Here is my first polymer clay attempt. I missed that there should be 2 rows of suckers on each tentacle, but I still like it.
I'm not allowed to post pictures yet, but here's a link to a pic in the gallery.
