1  A Simple Holiday Gift for my Fellow Baristas in Winter Holidays by mollythegreat on: December 19, 2009 09:39:07 PM
This is a super easy craft, but I still wanted to upload. I knew I wanted to give my coworkers some kind of crafted gift. My first idea was to bake something for them but two are vegetarians (not sure how strict and what rules each goes by), one eats very healthy, and the others don't have preferences so I didn't want to bake anything that the veggies wouldn't eat, etc. Too much stress! I only work with five other people; you'd think it would be easy! Smiley

Sooo, instead, I decided to get eat of them personalized, retractable Sharpies (I work in a Starbucks licensed store). Here's what I came up with!

And the tools, I used - Paint Sharpies!

Don't worry, I made one for me too. Wink

2  Personalized Homemade Christmas Ornaments (as gifts!) in Winter Holidays by mollythegreat on: December 17, 2009 11:18:22 PM
I'm strapped for cash this Christmas so I am only able to buy a select few people gifts. So this year I decided to make a keepsake type ornament for my family and my boyfriend's family. I am still in the process of making them, but I wanted to post the two I have made so far.

This one is for my boyfriend's parents - the picture is of their kids (my boyfriend is the baby in the picture).

This is for my boyfriend's aunt and uncle - it is their daughter.

I've had to improvise a lot when making these, and they took a lot longer than I initially thought. I just wanted to share and maybe inspire someone to make a Christmas ornamnet gift of their own. If there are any questions or suggestions, let me know! Smiley
