1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Floral Sundress on: February 24, 2008 12:03:19 PM
Cheesy So I'm way too excited for summer. I decided to let a little of this out on my fabrics and make some summer clothes. I took this vintage floral fabric and a lauren brookes pattern and came up with this. mind you, the pattern was altered a bit.

Ah so as a result of being sick my creative started to flow again. When my fever finally went down i celebrated and made new clothes!
First is the denim vest. This came out of a fugly vintage jumper of my aunts. It was this hideous floor length thing that i saw amazing potential in. Basically I cut it off, adjusted the pockets and altered it to be my size. Now I compulsively wear it more than anyone would like me to:

Second I made this kind of hippie-ish skirt. It came from a flowy white dress i snatched out of my mother's closet. The og dress was alright but it didn't fit at all! So i took the bottom of the dress, dyed it in a tye dye frenzy at the skatepark, and added in a drawstring. I'm not sure if I'll actually get around to wearing this, but it's fun to have:

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Ma and Pops on: November 25, 2006 04:18:19 PM
Wink Now I have these things called parents, and no clue what to get them. I want dearly to make my mother and father happy, but i need some assistance.

Mother:
She's 45 and she doesn't have much of a sense of humor.  Tongue She's a very religious and devoted to Christianity. She likes jewelry and makeup and things that help her keep herself "young." She has a teaching degree and has majored in child psychology.

Father:
He's 53 and he's not very funny either. He works as a mechanic. He likes music, country and classic rock mostly. He's your average redneck man in the sense that he likes beer, Nascar, and shooting things [which doesn't help my stance as a Peta member.] He's not home much so pillows and blankets wouldnt work very well.

Please help me please the people that brought me into this world.

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / dotted hair tie on: July 15, 2006 01:26:59 PM
I was having a bad hairday while at my crafty friends house so I snuck over to the beloved sewing machine and conjured up this little trinket. It ties underneath.

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / brown tote on: July 15, 2006 01:18:25 PM
I went to the beach a few days ago and I needed a tote to carry my "neccessities" in. I couldn't find one I liked so I decided why not make one. The brown is an old pillowcase, pink interior fabric is an old shirt, and the dotted stuff is felt. It's closure is a dotted felt tie at the top.

ta-da!

I was inspired by http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=106965.0 this morning so I tried to copy. I took an old Aeropostale tee and some left over scraps of fabric and transformed them into this:

I did some easy halters today. Y'know those easy no-sew ones from ohmystars.net. Yeah I was bored and decided to make some. I took the pictures layered over a wife beater cause I like it better that way. Keeps my innocent flesh covered.

1. The first is from an old Karate shirt:
