1  Chevron Print Zippered Clutch in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by aluminum.origami on: November 08, 2011 02:54:22 PM
Lately I have been envying the chevron print clutches I have been seeing on blogs and etsy, however I don't have a lot of money to spend on accessories ($tuition$) so I thought I'd make my own!

I started off with this white fabric, I made a chevron stencil with freezer paper and stenciled the print on. For the lining, I used this red poly-ish fabric I had lying around and the zipper was from a broken grey purse I had taking up space in my closet.

This was my VERY FIRST zipper, and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I messed up on one side, but it was my first so I'm not complaining!

3  Koopa Shell in Halloween Costumes by aluminum.origami on: October 25, 2009 07:53:46 PM
So my boyfriend has never really dressed up for Halloween before, but since it is our  1 year anniversary, I told him he had no choice. Since we originally bonded over nes/snes games....and I just so happened to have bought 7 yards of green felt for my own costume, I decided to make him a giant Koopa Shell.

The shell is made of felt & stuffed with poly-fill with drawn on black lines and the piping is some fabric from the thrift store (sateen, maybe?) also stuffed with poly-fill . I spent 2 hours this ginormous piece of work, and I am pretty proud of how it turned out..it's the 2nd costume I've ever made.

I apologize for the poor quality photo. It is a photo of a photo I had taken with my instax...

4  Xmas gifts for friends!!! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by aluminum.origami on: December 26, 2006 06:05:11 PM
Since I am extremely broke, I made all of my friends gifts this year. Thanks to the sr. quilters at my work, who were to generous to donate 3 large boxes of fabric to me!

There are more than these two, these are the only ones I have photos of so far [i've been lazy/busy]. I still have a few days before I have to mail them, so I will get photos soon!

ps. sorry about the mass amount of links!

This first one, is for my friend Lisol, who is obsessed with Nintendo, and always has been since I first met her in 1st grade. [I know the buttons on the right side are a little lower than they should be, i noticed after I had finished sewing the entire thing]
