I did pick studs from an old belt, too, but the first time  I washed the garment (skirt) the all came off  Sad Maybe you should wash this VERY carefully.

There are rhinestones at the end of the antlers...unfortunatly no close-ups, because Im at my parents house at the moment^^

 Cheesy great idea!
15  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Rosalind (Kitsch^^) on: January 29, 2009 12:57:59 AM

My friend gave me this fab buck-trophy-thing for my birthday in august.
He thought it was a pretty good joke, because everyone just said it was very ugly, but i fell in love Cheesy

In the beginning it was deer-colored (brown, the leaves were green etc.)
I used a whole can of bright-pink spraypaint ( the kind woodworkers use to mark trees) and then glued on more and more rhinestones and sequins.

She's now called Rosalind (she IS female^^)

weird colors, i guess it was to dark  Undecided

These are the real colors

16  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Portrait of my parents on: January 27, 2009 10:52:47 AM

this messures about 40x50cm at took... 36 stencils and way to much time^^

they loved it though, even if i could have done better, if id had more time Roll Eyes

17  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Ikea Malma Mirrors on: September 19, 2008 03:22:43 AM
When i was about 15 i was obsessed with painting Ikea Malma mirrors. In the end i had about 14- 15 of them, and some are still in my room.

These are a simple striped one and a art deco inspired one  Cheesy

placement on the wall

striped one

art deco one

close up

another close up

they are both brush-painted, which was probably not the smartest thing to do, but at least kept my busy for a while^^
18  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Skulls&squares&batic-style on: September 19, 2008 03:08:39 AM
I stencilled these Skulls on a shirt for a friend but ended up not giving it to her, because the black didnt showed up enough (it just looked like... dirt? Sad )
I tried to make it look more interesting by adding green, yellow and red squares.
Not a good idea. They were too bright and made the black look even uglier Cry

So it went to my drawer and was never worn until i got invited to a "hippie-party".
I normally wear black so i had nothing to wear and decided that this top cant be more ruined so i tried to batric it.

With spray paint!^^

I did two coats, a black one and a light blue one. I thought it would crack instandly, but it didnt!

Only the paint on top of the yellow squares cracked (dont know why) which made an interesting effect.
I really like it now  Grin

(sry, i CAN`T take photos :-( )
