1  Rosalind (Kitsch^^) in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by ShaCalli on: January 29, 2009 12:57:59 AM

My friend gave me this fab buck-trophy-thing for my birthday in august.
He thought it was a pretty good joke, because everyone just said it was very ugly, but i fell in love Cheesy

In the beginning it was deer-colored (brown, the leaves were green etc.)
I used a whole can of bright-pink spraypaint ( the kind woodworkers use to mark trees) and then glued on more and more rhinestones and sequins.

She's now called Rosalind (she IS female^^)

weird colors, i guess it was to dark  Undecided

These are the real colors

3  Ikea Malma Mirrors in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by ShaCalli on: September 19, 2008 03:22:43 AM
When i was about 15 i was obsessed with painting Ikea Malma mirrors. In the end i had about 14- 15 of them, and some are still in my room.

These are a simple striped one and a art deco inspired one  Cheesy

placement on the wall

striped one

art deco one

close up

another close up

they are both brush-painted, which was probably not the smartest thing to do, but at least kept my busy for a while^^

4  Skulls&squares&batic-style in Stenciling: Completed Projects by ShaCalli on: September 19, 2008 03:08:39 AM
I stencilled these Skulls on a shirt for a friend but ended up not giving it to her, because the black didnt showed up enough (it just looked like... dirt? Sad )
I tried to make it look more interesting by adding green, yellow and red squares.
Not a good idea. They were too bright and made the black look even uglier Cry

So it went to my drawer and was never worn until i got invited to a "hippie-party".
I normally wear black so i had nothing to wear and decided that this top cant be more ruined so i tried to batric it.

With spray paint!^^

I did two coats, a black one and a light blue one. I thought it would crack instandly, but it didnt!

Only the paint on top of the yellow squares cracked (dont know why) which made an interesting effect.
I really like it now  Grin

(sry, i CAN`T take photos :-( )

5  Dress for gothic photoshooting in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by ShaCalli on: June 19, 2008 04:16:40 AM
One of my friends met a gothic photogapher at the WGT (Wave- Gothic- Treffen) last year and invited him and like 20 of her friends to have a giant photoshooting!
Great fun, but of course I had nothing cool to wear so i decided to make my own dress.

Total cost was about 15 Euros (which is about 100Euros less then your usual "subculture" dress^^)

The material is black crash-tafetta (right word?), I used plastic boning for the bodice, which didnt turned out any good and make some weird things  Sad ) and it closes with a zipper.

And pictures of course!^^

this one isnt the best but the only one which shows the material

Im but that fat, its the boning making me look pregnant

Showing the flare^^

All these were taken by http://www.lichtreize.com/

have a nice day!

They are portraits of friends.

9  Stones Jacket in Stenciling: Completed Projects by ShaCalli on: April 22, 2007 05:32:23 AM
First of all: I didn`t alter the stencil a lot. I only made some minor changes (colors etc.) cause it was just great! So if it isn`t unique enough just delete it!

So.. This is a jacket i got some years ago in a second hand store. I is kinda big on me AND the fabric is hell to stencil on (plus i was stencilling over the seams, which was a really bad idea Wink)

But here it is!

Close up on the stencil. It's a four color print and it says "Rolling Stones- Tattoo you"

And the whole thing Smiley

10  Two stencilled and one painted shirt! in Stenciling: Completed Projects by ShaCalli on: April 09, 2007 11:46:07 AM

The three of them together on my floor

The first one, sorry the pic is not good at all Undecided. Its a two color print of a girl and a cebra and lots of ornaments. A friend gave my the motive and i really like it!

A band shirt. Die toten Hosen (the dead pants) are my all- time favorite band (german rock/punk rock) I made the stencil by simply enlarging the concert ticket. it already faded a lot, because i wore it so often Sad

This one is painted and i`m not sure if i`ll ever wear it... but it was fun to make! Grin The original drawing only consists of one line.

id really like do get some feedback, especially about the last one Grin
