This was my first attempt at sewing a zipper. I ended up having to tear out and resew every single seam... I don't recommend using stripes on your first pouch, it drove me crazy to get them straight!

I went off this tutorial ( http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=c02d4c692e9495904f626de0e273c4f7;topic=22875.0 ) but changed it a bit. Instead of cutting two rectangles for each side, I used one long rectangle and folded them in half.

Since I knit everyone something for Christmas last year, and I recently opened my own shop, this is the only knitted gift I made this year. It's for my boyfriend's grandma, and I love it. It's definitely one of my favorite scarves so far! He helped pick out the yarn and I came up with some pattern ideas for him to choose from, and I knit it up for her.

I need to make a king size duvet cover, but I'm having problems finding the right material. I'm looking for something that's soft to the touch, but is appropriate for year round use, meaning no flannel.

Can someone suggest types of material I should be looking for? And, is it better to go to Joann's or another local fabric store, or to look online somewhere?

I made this felted clutch for one of my friends using Caron Felt-It yarn. It ended up felting pretty easily, and by the amount specified on the ball band, so I was happy. For some reason I thought the ribbing would felt tighter. It ended up spreading out at the top, but I like the little flair!

I'm particular proud of Mr. Hankey! I made up my own pattern for a couple of my South Park loving friends and family.

Has anyone here ever sewn a zipper to a felted item?

Do you do it by hand, or on a machine? Does the needle and thread need to go all the way through the felted item? I haven't succeeded at finding a tutorial.
