1  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: One Punch Man shoes on: June 05, 2016 02:24:37 PM
'not very good at anime style art' ??!!  I beg to differ. These rock so hard!!
Thank you!! I tend to REALLY struggle with this style, especially the faces. I'm lucky that these turned out so well, because my past attempts of anime style has been disastrous!
2  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / One Punch Man shoes on: April 29, 2016 08:25:25 AM
This all started when I found an amazing pair of plain black converse (in my size!) at a thrift store. I wasn't sure what to paint on them at first, they were all black so I could do anything at all! Then my brother introduced me to One Punch Man and I was hooked right away. I knew that i wanted to paint the converse OPM, but I'm not very good at anime style art. I decided to go for it anyways and I'm soo glad I did because they ended up turning out better then I had hoped!
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Megaman Cross Stitched Converse on: April 29, 2016 08:20:33 AM
these are really great for being a beginner!  Grin

be careful though.  you could turn into me; I literally obsess over cross stitch.  lol.  it's practically all I think about!
That totally has happened! The majority of my projects lately have been cross stitch. Its taken over my life!
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Megaman Cross Stitched Converse on: January 27, 2016 01:21:56 PM
I wasn't sure if I should post these here or on the shoes forum, but my favorite part about my latest project is the cross stitched bits! I just started cross stitching last month, but I've already fallen in love with it. It was a craft I had always been interested in, but thought it was beyond my skill level. I'm so glad i decided to give it a try!
My best friend asked if i could make him a megaman themed pair of shoes and i thought cross stitch would be the perfect way to showcase the pixels of the old school game. I stitched onto cross stitch fabric, then cut out the figures after sealing the fabric with fray check. I painted the background on the shoes and stitched on my cross stitch appliques. This is one of my first real cross stitch projects, and I've taught myself so I'm sure I made a lot of mistakes with my technique. I've been learning mostly by trial and error so far. I'm really happy with how they came out, despite my lack of experience.

5  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Animal Crossing Converse on: August 14, 2015 02:42:22 PM
Two years ago I bought a pair of grey converse to paint for my sister. She requested I do then Claymore themed, but after trying and failing (anime style is not my forte) I decided to go with Animal Crossing. My sister and i have been playing the animal crossing games for over 10 years and are huge fans of the franchise. I chose two of her favourite villagers (Rosie and Bunnie), and went crazy painting. I added a bit of glitter to the clouds in the background just for fun. I gave them to her a couple of weeks ago and she loved them!

These are amazing. I love the amount of detail you put into making them. All the sequins are lined up perfectly and the bows are just amazing. Well done!

10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Day of the Dead Frames on: January 28, 2015 02:29:14 PM
So I have no clue what category these fall under so here we are! I picked up these amazing brightly coloured frames at Michaels for only $3 each and i knew right away what i wanted to do with them. The skulls are made from felt, beads, sequins and lots of embroidery. I'm really happy with how they turned out, i'm hoping to find more frames the nest time i go shopping!

I am thinking about putting them up for sale on my website but not sure if they are good enough to sell. I'd love to hear some feedback!
