I handpainted these shoes for a co-worker of mine for her grandson. They were a bit tricky since they are a childs size 11 and i'm used to working with adult sized shoes. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out though!
I love making these wall hangings. I use wool felt, fabric, beads, sequins, and lots of embroidery. Here are my most recent two that i've made. I'm planning on entering a local art show with these so i'd love to hear and comments/critique on them. Thanks!
I'm a big fan of pokemon, so when i found this big piece of wood i knew I had to paint my favourite pokemon Ampharos on it. I've never painted on wood this way before so it was a bit tricky for me, but i'm really pleased with how it turned out.
You can see I still have to trim the extra wood off the bottom!
So after seeing a few on pinterest i decided to try to make my own dreamcatcher. I wrapped a metal hoop with silk, then stitched the doily into the middle. I wire wrapped some cool beads, and hung them along with feather, coral, charms, and buttons. I love the way it came out, but it was pretty difficult to photograph.
I found these awesome pink and black converse in a kids size 3 at goodwill for only $6! After giving them a good wash and scrub with a magic eraser, i painted them up for my niece who loves unicorns. She also loves anime, so i thought a tokioki theme would be perfect for her. The stars are done in silver glitter and then sealed so they can still be washed when they get dirty. I surprised her with them for back to school and she loves them!
I found a great pair of black converse at Goodwill for only $8 so i knew right away that i wanted to paint them up for my nephew. I gave them a wash and then went to work on them. I asked him what he wanted me to paint and of course the answer was Pokemon. He picked two of his favourite legends, Ho oh and Lugia. I'm really happy with how they turned out, but i'm still thinking about adding some more onto the background.
I've been really making wool felt artist trading cards lately. I love doing all the tiny embroidery. Here are some cards I made for this fall! I love the look of the metallic embroidery floss but it is a huge pain to work with! I still ended up using it on my owl cards.
Everything has been amazing so far! Here is my great package from rhymesworange. I got an adorable No Face bookmark, amigurumi totoro and the robot from castle in the sky. My very favourite though is the fantastic hand spun yarn in the colours from ponyo. My picture doesn't do these yarns justice, they are stunning and i can't wait to use them. Thank you again rhymesworange, i love everything!
My partner Rhymesworange has recieved so i'mm go ahead and post pictures of what i sent! I just snapped some quick pics before I sent, so Rhymesworange if you have better pics, feel free to post them! Forest spirit stencilled shirt
I handpainted these sneakers with two of my favourite pokemon, Pikachu and Raichu! They are painted onto white canvas shoes using fabric paint. I'm thinking of posting a tutorial on the next pair i make of there is interest. Comments and constructive criticism is always welcome and loved!
