Thanks for the kind words. I made the little pig out of some felt that I had. I
got pretty bummed out when I was doing the final ironing of the bag because I scorched the little guy---What was I thinking?!? Hot iron and felt don't mix that well--dur! Oh well he is still pretty cute in my book. Here's a close up pic.

When my husband and I were first married we were so stinking poor that we couldn't afford greeting cards for birthdays, valentines, and so on, so we always made each other cards from stuff around the house like construction paper, aluminum foil, yarn.  It just dawned on me while reading this thread, that seven years later we still always make each other cards. It's not anything we have ever discussed, i guess we have just started a tradition without realizing it.

Geez I hope this picture thing works!

The first bag is an ultra super girlie lacy thing. It makes me think of something Aunt Bea would carry fried chicken in to a Sunday picnic.

I don't know if you can tell from the pictures but the lace is layered on the outside

The inside is white withe red polka dots.

The next is one I just finished for my friend for xmas(she likes pigs). The outside is b&w houndstooth with a pig applique(my first applique attempt) and the inside is the same red and white polka dots.

Ok I previewed the post and I think the pictures will work(woohoo!!!)
Anyway I hope you like, thanks for looking!

39  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: painting computer keyboards / mouse on: June 16, 2004 08:31:29 AM
My hubby painted his mouse a year or so ago w/ the new spray paint made for plastic,(krylon maybe??) and it turned out great. You would never know it is paint--the paint bonds with the plastic somehow. He just taped off the parts he didn't want painted and sprayed the rest. After a year or so it has no scratches at all--now as far as the keyboard I don't know b/c of all the keys. Hope this helps.
