Here's my first post in a gallery - I have done a few swaps - alphabet only - I really admire those cards using tons of ephemera - they never look too busy - I can't pull that off yet...

I told reese52 I would post some pics of the tin I sent her - So here goes - She is into Cherry blossoms and geishas and koi -

so you can see the top of the tin in her pic - but when I loaded my pic it said error ?! &%^$#!

ALSO I glued 4 melted marbles to the bottom over green handmade paper as a sort of base or pedestal and that pic
didn't turn out either -

but here is the insides---

My aunt is absolutely awesome at knitting and felting - I had to post this bag she made for me - it could hold a lap top!  and the colors are amazing - I think she needs to open an etsy shop - she makes wonderful things  I am afraid my camera won't so it justice - but here goes -

I could NOT get a good pic of the inside - but you can make out allthe little pockets and her own handmade by tag but the stiching on this is soooo professional -

thanks for looking!!

9  Fathers Day Project: Framed Civil War Letter as a Homemade Crafty Gift for Dad in Father's Day by juliusmunki on: March 24, 2008 04:35:41 PM
Oh what to get my father?  He is sooo difficult as he really has no hobbies except more work and we really aren't all that close.  He loves well, work ...and the history channel - seriously, he's not into music or reading, has no hobbies, no favorite color, and doesn't care a lick about fashion!  If he wants something he buys it.  SO with that in mind I have been working on this project for sometime - and finally found a gret frame and its finished even though fathers day is far off - bummer - hopefully soemone will see this!!

My gma found an letter from a relative while fighting the civil war - i copied it - PS'ed  some so it would be a bit more clear to read and then faux antiqued - found this great frame and well here it is... I think he will actually LOVE this - and I can't wait to give it  to him -
