1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Joining back post double crochet in the round? on: September 28, 2006 09:07:03 AM
I'm trying to write a pattern that involves joining back post double crochet rows in the round. The problem is, that the way I do it leaves holes. I start a round with a ch2, and then back post double crochet all the way around, and then i will back post double crochet the ch2 just like it was a dc. Is this wrong?

I know it would be easier and prettier if i just spiraled the rows instead of joining, but i'm trying to be all fancy-pants about writing my first pattern. Is this just how it should be done? Just spiral it?

Anyone up for an area-wide Stitch 'n' Bitch (and the like) meetup?!

I think it would rock off our proverbial socks!

I'm thinking April or May-ish.

Sleep on it and email me at Krisppikle@yahoo.com .

It's just too goshdarn nice outside to knit stuff inside!

It will be held at James Madison Park on the 15th of June, a wednesday... join the S'N'B yahoo group at groups.yahoo.com/group/stitchnbitchmadison to find out more as the planning unfolds... cuz that's all we have so far!

Hope to see all Madisonian crafters there!

Yes, it was good, and yes, i had fun!
So good, and so fun, actually, that we're doing it again next wednesday and every wednesday henceforth. Yes, i said henceforth.
Lazy Jane's Cafe and Bakery, 4pm, upstairs in the cushy couchy area.
Be there or be a GRANNY square.
Oh, and bring cash monies for coffee and whatnot.

Anyone know of any non-smokie BARS in the Madison area as of right now (soon to be all bars, i realize [damn, am i glad i quit, DAY TEN, Ya'll!!!!].)

I'm really hip to the idea of throwing back a couple cold ones and stitchin up some goodies.

6  Wisconsin / Wisconsin: Southeast / Crocheters, Knitters, ETC in Madison? on: June 23, 2004 01:15:14 AM
Yeah, so my post (this post. I was wondering where it went to) in the knitting forum got moved here (there was one just like it in crochet and cross-stitiching forums), so the other post sounds like i'm restricting the meetings to just knitters. Not so Smiley
All needlecrafts are welcome. Hell, i'd even go wayyy out on a limb and say macrame too, hehe.

Fliers went up earlier so hopefully you spot one or two down Willie St or Monroe.

Hope to see you there!

(I had no clue there was a Wisconsin forum, COOL!)
