1  Make your own Channukiah (Menorah) for Hannukah in Winter Holidays by elainajune on: December 04, 2006 08:37:50 PM
This is such an easy and cheap way to make a channukiah or menorah.  All of the materials can be bought at teh hardware store.

  • The base is a tile.  You can various shapes, sizes, or colors  Or just use a plain one and use permanenet markers or tile/cermaic markers/paint to decorate.
  • The candle holders are nuts.  Just bring a candle with you to the store for size.  it is best to huy nuts a little bigger than the candle fits because nuts that seem to be the right size can be difficult to actually get teh candle to fit without it braking.
  • Glue the nuts on with crazy glue, ultimate glue, gorilla glue, etc..
  • For the shamash either set teh nut aside from teh rest or you can use more than one to make it higher than the rest.
