1  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Question about dyeing roving on: December 01, 2006 05:35:15 PM
Thanks, you guys, for the responses.  Very helpful, and I think I've got it now -- dyed a bit more this evening, and it came out just fine.  Woo-hoo!

2  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Discussion and Questions / Question about dyeing roving on: November 29, 2006 10:39:32 AM
I've made my first attempts at dyeing roving with acid dyes in a pot on the stove.  No matter how careful I am, the roving seems to mat slightly.  So, a couple of questions:  First, is there any way to avoid this?  Second, can the dyed roving be re-carded?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!  I've learned so much from this forum already.
