1  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / can can dancer costume on: December 12, 2004 12:20:55 AM
I know Halloween was a long time ago but here's my costume! Grin

I used a pattern for the top from pattern from walmart, the skirt was another random old pattern and the underskirt was based after the overskirt and I added ruffles.  This costume caused a lot of drama but I am really pleased with how it came out (thanks to tons of help from my mommy after my sewing machine died when my apartment shower leaked directly all over my sewing suplies).  This was the first time I had a real costume that wasn't put together last minute so I made sure I got to show it off.  I wore it a couple of times to a couple of parties and the the castro.  And so here I am showing it off to all you crafty peoples!

2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / can can dancer costime help! on: September 19, 2004 11:31:45 PM
Hi,  so I decided that I no longer want to look like a lamo for Halloween and want to make my own costume!  So my best friend and I decided that we want to be can-can dancers.  I tried looking up pictures for ideas.  I also watched Moulin Rouge  Wink to get ideas and I really like the the costumes are crazy and sexy.  Has anyone got any more ideas, pictures, patterns or anything that can help?  I have considered maybe reconstructing a dress I have but I am not sure if that will work.  Any help will be appreciated!   Cheesy
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / beaded medallion!!!! on: June 12, 2004 09:35:57 PM
Hi! Grin  This is a project that I did as a final project for my Native American Studies Art Workshop class.  It's a beaded medallion thingy.  I am not sure what I am going to do with it but I think it came out nice.  It took a super long time and I am so glad that I finished it!!
