3  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Christmas tree pine needles on: January 25, 2007 08:37:10 AM
So.. we left the Christmas tree in the apt without water for a liiiiiiiiiittle too long.  We just took it out, and underneath it were about 15 gallons of pine needles. Yeah. They're short and sharp and theres a bunch.  What the heck can you do with pine needles?  Maybe we'll just compost them. Smiley
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / 1920's, fitzgeraldesque wedding on: January 18, 2007 04:21:53 PM
Hello..
So, my boyfriend proposed to me a couple weeks ago! Which is wonderful, and we are on cloud nine.  But of course Mom kicked in almost immediately with wedding planning even though the wedding is about two years off. Smiley
Anyway, the ring is an antique, art-deco style ring from the late 20's.. which got me thinking it might be fun to do a 20's ish theme to the wedding, think parties at Gatsby's house.  My wedding reception is going to be in an old dance hall on the water.. but how to make the wedding or reception twenties-ee?  My concern is those dropped waist dresses don't look good on anyone!  ANd, i want it twenties inspired, not totally themed out.  I don't want the Ren-fair version of the roaring twenties. :\
thoughts?

incredib le translation- great job!
as a point of interest,
ananas are pineapples, no? so this stitch would appropriately be called the pineapple stitch.
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: at wits end... on: January 02, 2007 02:37:28 PM
my boyfriend tried to crochet.  he couldn't get past making a chain because his fingers are too big, hehehe.. however, he WILL be making me some new hooks out of wooden dowels, and finishing them with some loverly tung oil.
