1  Re: Spring Has Sprung Pullip/Dal/Taeyang swap gallery in The Swap Gallery by GypsyLou on: June 07, 2008 12:21:14 PM
I got home from vacation yesterday and found my package from ahpets00 waiting for me!  Since I have this weekend off of work I figured I'd better get outside and take some pics right away while I have time.  Everything she made is absolutely fantastic!!  My boys are so happy with their new clothes!

Alex claimed this shirt as soon as he saw it.  And he's so excited about the camera ahpets00 made for him!!

Here he is thinking about what to take photos of...

Kiyoshi loves this shirt and loves that it came with socks!

And DeSoto, my new Tantus, wasn't in on this swap but he was feeling left out so I let him model this awesome "button-up" shirt.

She also made them some adorbale little shorts!

Thanks again, ahpets00!  It was fun crafting with you  ^_^

I also had Cherry Blossoms as one of my themes.  Here's my fantastic tin from NewYorkDoll!

I was so excited to get one done with clay!  It's beautiful!

And look at all the goodies!  I can't wait to wear the necklace and earrings.  I'm going to plan my outfit for work tomorrow around them Smiley   Thanks NewYorkDoll!!!

And since I know NewYorkDoll got the tin I sent her, here's one of the photos I took of that~

4  Mermaid in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by GypsyLou on: September 30, 2007 12:45:36 PM
Here's my take on the Mini Mermaid pattern [http://mermaid.nunodoll.com/mini/mascot.html].

I noticed someone else recently used the same pattern and that motivated me to finish the mermaid I'd started!

I enlarged the pattern so she's about 12" tall.

I received my tin from alo42d today and boy was I spoiled!  She went with my Japanese theme and used some very pretty kimono-esque fabric!

Here's the tin:

I love its little bead feet!!

Here it is with all that was inside of it:

The little footprint stickers are in there because Sherlock Holmes was one of my other themes  Cheesy

I was just looking at a pair of earrings very similar to the purple mother of pearl button earrings she made for me -  these are so much better!

And here's a close up of the earrings/pendant set because I think it's my favorite thing aside from the tin itself:

I'd post close-ups of everything, because it's all so awesome, but I'm afraid I'm already going overboard  Tongue

Also in the box were ~

As if the tin and everything inside wasn't enough!   Shocked  I love it all!

Thanks alo42d!!

I used this photo as the reference for his outfit, which I tried to make similar~ http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v34/gypsysp/014.jpg

7  Re: The Everything Harry Potter Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by GypsyLou on: September 07, 2007 07:47:16 AM
I received from hp_nerd yesterday!

Here's a pic of everything-

3 shirts - one for each of my 3 favorite characters!
Blood pops - which I haven't been able to find around here so I ripped those open right away  Cheesy
a G for Gryffindor, my house
And some felt & ribbon bookmarks in Gryffindor colors in a cute little red take out box [oddly enough i'm slightly obsessed with take out boxes].

Here's the crown on the back of the Weasley is Our King shirt.  Somehow I just could not get a good picture of it.  The shirt is green, by the way, and I don't know why it looks wavy in the picture cause it's not  Huh

I thought I had a pic of the back of the Snape shirt too, but I can't find it now.  It has the quote from Philosopher's Stone from the first classroom scene with him where he makes his speech about potion making  Grin  I'm going to wear it to my HP game night tonight!

Thanks hp_nerd!!

8  My Monster Book of Monsters in Completed Projects by GypsyLou on: July 07, 2007 09:56:07 AM
I had a hard time deciding what topic this would go into so I did a search and noticed others have posted their Harry Potter Monster Book of Monsters in here, so here we go!

I had to make this using only things I already had in the house, since I decided to do it at midnight...  If I were to make another one, a bit of shopping beforehand would make it much more interesting.  But, all I had on hand was felt, black fur, an old book and some googley eyes.  So this is what I came up with:

Grrr!

He ended up more cute than fierce-looking, but that's okay!

First of all, thank you cumber!!!

I found this awesome package waiting for me when I got home from work [yes I'm completely nerdy and actually took a photo of the package before opening]:

Inside of which was Lorelai's memory box!

Which contained all of this awesome stuff:

How she managed to fit it all in there, I'm not sure because I tried to get it all in myself later and couldn't do it!

Here's some close ups:

Dragonfly tank which I'm totally wearing to work tomorrow:

Strawberry pincushion [which amazingly enough, is something I had on my list of things to make for myself sometime soon! Now I've got one! Isn't it cute?]:

Cast photo mug [this blurry photo doesn't do it justice]:

Dragonfly magnet, which is already on my white board:

And the buttons which will soon be adorning various hats and bags:

Thanks again!  I can't wait to send your package off to you on Friday!  Grin

Any chance you can show us a close up of those posters?  They look pretty cool!

10  Dobby the House Elf Plushie in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by GypsyLou on: June 18, 2007 09:01:22 PM
I had to hand sew him as I didn't have access to my sewing machine... it took me about 8 hours to finish.  Boy was I glad when I got to his outfit and could sew it sloppy since it's supposed to look sloppy!
