1  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Pieces of memories...aka- charred wood and bits on: January 17, 2011 02:56:20 AM
So my childhood home (My mom's) just burned to the ground and is a total loss. (no one was home THANK THE CREATOR!) There's hardly anything left except bits of charred wood. Mom keeps digging around hunting for that hidden treasure left in the rubble, hoping for SOMETHING left of the memories and trinkets of 30+ years and kids and grandkids. Does anyone have ANY ideas for something that I could possible make for her and my sister out of whats left of the house. We are all so devastated. I've thought about putting some bits of burned wood in resin, or hunting for pieces to make some kind of pendant. I'm just trying for anything. Wish I knew how to make wood beads and I'd give that a try. Just something of the past that we can keep. I know you wonderful people here can give me great ideas. You always seem to come up with the perfect things. Smiley

Thank you so much!
