2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: antique picture frame - hideous picture = awesome earring display! on: August 29, 2011 09:26:28 AM
As I said before, my aunt sold this stuff. I always went with her to parties and help set up her displays. All of the pictures H/I made had back stories and such. The sadness and complexity of this piece and its counterpart (which is a woman standing by a cart) always reminded me of Christina's World. Anyway... here is a link to a set of them.

Guess its ok to link to that since its not a selling site. (if not, Moderator, I apologize) Just think it will help anybody else trying to find the same kind of frame.

Again, I think the earring holder is AWESOME!

HAHAHAHA! My mom had those pictures on her wall. If anybody wants to hunt them, they're Home Interior from like the 80s. My aunt used to sell the stuff. They were a set. The other is of a woman. Anyway... your earring display is AWESOME! I'd steal my moms to do something similar, but the house burned 8 months ago. Your post made me remember the pictures! Smiley

Those are great Smiley I just bought some real ones. They had a retro candy rack at CVS! I got them for my daughter and she thought they were meh... so I ate what was left and relived my childhood!!!  Grin

I add a banana to mine.  My whole family loves it, calling it Dagobah Delight or Pondscum affectionately. Wink

DAGOBAH DELIGHT!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Just the thing for all my Burger King Empire Strikes Back glasses from the 80s. I haven't LOL'd that hard in a while! Thank you! HAHAHAHAH!!!

Hahahaha! My daughter draws herself as a Mario character wearing a purple (L) hat all the time. Her favorite color is purple and her name is Leia. I never even thought to MAKE her one. Was it very difficult? I totally LOVE yours! Great job!
