55  not your ordinary handbag... in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lilbandade on: March 31, 2007 09:06:29 PM
i basically made a purse out of grocery bags.
i got the idea out of a knitting book but i crocheted this because i can't quite knit yet. i am really happy it turned out.

basically, to make the "yarn" you cut grocery bags into strips adn tie them all together in a BIIIIIG line.

56  Bunny. in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by lilbandade on: March 31, 2007 09:02:14 PM
i found a pattern for Thumper ( you know... the bunny from Bambi?) and i wanted to make one for my old babysitter who just retired. but she likes green so i didn't make it in Thumper colors.

Pattern found here:http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=33311

he got sewn together a little lopsided but i am still very please with how he turned out.

58  Re: Felt Mascot or Little Stuffie Swap R2 -- Gallery!! in The Swap Gallery by lilbandade on: March 23, 2007 12:11:35 PM
everyone's stuffies are super adorable.
mine... it arrived today and is just about the sweetest thing EVER.
So i told my partner that i really liked a good Monty Python movie.
so taht leads to...

THE BLACK KNIGHT!!! (with detachable arms and legs)
with is traveling buddies....

The Prop Hedge and the Killer rabbit (now i dont know if it is really the killer rabbit but it totally fits here)
well i sat them all out in my living room so i could run to get my camera and what do i come back to?

It turns out the hedge and rabbit were conspiring against the Black Knight the whole time just so the rabbit could nibble his leg.

i love it soooooo much.

60  Pink One and Zinc (dragons) in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by lilbandade on: January 31, 2007 01:36:05 PM
i made these two dragons this weekend from a pattern from here: http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=42777&highlight=dragon

i did not make the pattern and i don't know if anyone else posted it but yea. there is Pink One which is the first one i made and Zinc who was inspired by my chemistry teacher. they are crocheted and not very big at all. I am making more for my friends for valentine's day.

my variations on the pattern were i embroidered the eyes on and i wast aware of how the eyelids were supposed to go so i put them kind of like human eyelids instead of the picture they have with the pattern. i used an H hook and my arms are only connected at the top.

enjoy
