1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / SOCKS! on: October 24, 2007 01:50:13 PM
Finished a pair of socks this weekend. Thanks to Murphy's Law, I went from a romantic weekend with hubby and no kids to taking the dog to Pet Smart as the "hot date" activity.  Rather than raid hubby's stash of Hershey's Kisses or his ice cream supply (so not fair that he can eat all that!), I decided to finish this project. The pattern is called "Hearts" (hard to see in this picture, but the design is hearts). The yarn is "Socks that Rock" from Blue Moon Fiber Arts in the color "Mustang Sally." This is the first pair I've done for ME!

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month on: October 18, 2007 05:59:58 AM
I did this purse for a swap, but I really liked it.  Would have been better with a "prettier" bra,  but it's still cool.

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Choker: only takes a few hours on: August 08, 2007 07:13:59 AM
Made this choker last night because I felt the urge to crochet something small.  I got the pattern off the internet (on one of those free pattern sites), but don't remember where right now.  (And the little dog is on my lap, so I can't POSSIBLY move him to go look!)

Comments always welcome.  Thanks for looking.
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Comfy Shorts: lots of pictures on: July 29, 2007 12:06:54 PM
I can't take total credit for these.  I *did* put the elastic in, though!  The shorts were made from an old T-shirt by "Bloody Mary" on the board.  Since I live within 40 miles of Sturgis (home of a HUGE motorcycle rally for those who don't know) it was her odd sense of humor to give them to my daughter (her niece, by the way).  Anyway, she did a good job -- for being my sister   Wink.

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Interesting Pillows on: July 29, 2007 12:01:41 PM
I wasn't sure where to post this, but here's a good spot, I suppose.  (This could be a recycled project...)  Anyway, these two used to be t-shirts, but my daughter didn't want to get rid of them.  Didn't want to wear them, either!  We did pillows since she didn't want to wait for a quilt.  Patience isn't in a teenager's normal vocabulary!   Cheesy

Thanks for looking.
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Another pair of socks on: July 25, 2007 12:51:53 PM
Finished another pair of socks -- this one for my daughter's best friend.  They're done using the Zodiac Socks from Hip Graphic Knits in Caron's Simply Soft yarn, alternating colors every four rows.

thanks for looking!
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / And some socks.... on: July 18, 2007 09:52:07 AM
OK, so I REALLY love to knit socks.  Here's the link to the latest pair I finished.

I got the sock pattern from Hip Graphic Knits (the Zodiac socks).  The "M" design is from the Stitch N Bitch books (the initial purse).  The colors were picked out by my 14yo daughter, who's socks these are.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Finished Baby Blanket on: July 18, 2007 09:37:49 AM
A young girl I know is expecting a baby, so I did this blanket for her.  Got the pattern from the Spring/Summer 2007 issue of Knit It! magazine.

Haven't posted enough yet to get to post pictures, but you can see it at:
