1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Need Kurt Cobain Birthday Celebration Ideas! on: February 15, 2005 11:24:46 AM
This is kinda weird, but me and my friend like to celebrate our favourite celebrities birthdays Cheesy We've already thrown one for Duff McKagen and Kurt's birthday is on Sunday so we need good ideas Smiley We are planning on making cookies, buying a cake, listening to my Nirvana cd's, watching Kurt and Courtney(if we can find it), and wearing ripped jeans with plaid shirts(preferably flannel Grin) I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas for other things to do? Thanks  Kiss
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / ...:::Knitty hat pattern quest:::... on: November 14, 2004 12:37:58 PM
http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall04/FEATcamp.html

I thought I would ask here incase it's some pattern that everyone, except me, knows about. It's the first picture right at the begining of the article with the hat in alot of different colors. Does anyone have a pattern for it? or know a book or magazine that has the pattern? I hope you can help because I LOVE it! Cheesy Thanks
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / bag for ice skates - What can I add to make it purdier on: August 26, 2004 11:35:43 AM
So everyone I have one of those weird shaped bags that are made for ice skates and It's really plain and ugly. It's white, has pink writing on the side, and the strap is the same shade of pink. I don't know what I could do to fix it up. all I can think of are sequins but those can only go so far unless I felt really ambitous and covered the entire thing. But I can't say that I'm that ambitous if there is a easier just as cool thing to do. So ideas are very welcomed Cheesy

I'll also add that if a picture is wanted I can add it Grin
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / !!!How do you bind off using dpns???? on: August 16, 2004 08:01:20 PM
I decided I should enlist the help of my fellow crafsters for my problem. I recently decided to try knitting with double-pointed needles using the handy instructions found in Stitch n' Bitch but I soon realised, when I went to bind off, that it doesn't explain how Huh I decided ,since my knitting wasn't anything special and just an experiment, I would try to do this as normally as possible. I tried and ended up with one stitch on each of my three needles Sad
So I dunno?
What is the right way to bind off with dpns?
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / earrings---->two pairs on: July 08, 2004 09:59:53 AM
Hey Everyone Cheesy Here are a pair of earrings I made the other day. Just thought I'd post them to see what you think. They're made of clear fishing line, white sequins, earring hook thingys, and these beads I bought at walmart called E beads. The E beads are just clear seed beeds with paint on the inside.

Thats them so I hope you like them Cheesy

I was wondering if anybody has ideas for how you would make them. they look woven but my paint sampler thingys are skinny and I don't know how I would make mine as thick as theirs.
I'm open to any ideas Cheesy

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Colors.Really Need Help!Tell Me What You Think!! on: June 12, 2004 02:29:07 PM
Hey Everyone! Okay I'm going to make a messenger bag but I don't know if the fabrics I was thinking of using match Undecided. So I was wondering what you think of them.(The pictures stink but it's kinda hard to take pictures of fabric Cry

There's the grey color I'm thinking of using for the main part of the bag.
And there's the pink color I'm thinking of using it for maybe the sides or the flap or both. Oh Yeah I also got this lacey ribbony stuff that's the same shade of pink which I could use as a trim or something. So Tell me if you think that the fabric matches or if you have any ideas for the bag or anything else I guess Grin Just figured I should add that the pattern on the fabrics is quite smaller it's just the way I took the picture that made the patterns huge.
