1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Rodeo Star Baby Shoes! (and a matching blankey!) on: September 19, 2007 07:43:29 AM

as for making them non-skid, i use puffy paint (just make sure it's non-toxic to be on the safe side) and just put dots on the bottom of all my footie pajamas if they are for a walker...i would do the same with these.  it works quite well!

I bought some of the non-skid material but it's really thin (and plain white...ugh) and looks more like pj bottoms than a shoe sole. Puffy paint.  what a great idea.

Thanks for sharing

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: HELP! Lionbrand Matinee Swing Jacket on: July 22, 2007 01:32:32 PM
But if you read thedirections for Row 1 it does not direct you to skip.  So if you follow the direction exactly you do not end up with an increase.

Row1:  Hdc in 3rd ch rom hook (counts as two hdc)....=2 chains and 1hdc
Increase Row: Ch 2, turn, hdc in first hdc (inc made). =2 chains and 1 hdc...no increase.

If I'm not being clear could you check out what the instructions say?

Thanks for clicking!!
We're in despirate need of your help!!!!

My mother is visiting me and working on the LionBrand Matinee Swing jacket(http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/60582A.html?noImages=.)  She just started the sleeves and has questions about the increases.   I reviewed the pattern and I'm confused too.

On Row 1:  Hdc in 3rd ch rom hook (counts as two hdc)....
Inc Row: Ch 2, turn, hdc in first hdc (inc made).

If you follow the directions an increase won't be made.  You're just repeating the same steps as in Row 1.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Wow.  Those are great.  I especially like the dragonfly one.  Designs like that just don't happen on crochet hooks.

So, when is the next round??

Amazing.  Simply amazing.
Now, where are the shots of your husband.  You did end up with one of those, right?  Lol.
Great work.  I'm sure that you'll enjoy stories of you preparation for many years.

I received a wonderful package from my partner, KnitsyBitsy. She made two beautiful dishcloths for me:

AND as an extra she did some "blog snooping" and read that I just had a baby.  She knitted Sophia this gorgeous bib.

Here are some action shots.
Soph loves it

And so do I.

Thank you so much KitsyBitsy!
