1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: What to make my big brother for his birthday? on: November 27, 2010 01:07:59 PM
I have a magnet that I keep on my computer's speaker that I eat. It says "I write stuff." with a little monster sort of thing. You could make something for his desk (paint a mug for pens, make a little plaque, whatever) that says that.

You posted this a while ago, so maybe it's too late. But just in case you're still looking... I had no idea what the annoying orange thing was so I googled it. Since it's something you share, what if you made a little stuffed annoying orange for him -- you could knit or crochet it, then just do the features pretty easily with felt. It'd look cool and be totally unique.

This is nice, and I do appreciate the instant gratification things -- I get easily distracted!

OMG RAAR grr ugggh! i second the call for finger puppet friends. for doing this for your son you taste like sunshine dust (thats a good thing, i promise  Cheesy)

I planned originally to make the puppets, but probably won't have time. But I might be able to make him a rusty spoon.

Very nice color and a great beginning! I bet she'll feel honored to receive your first knitting.

Salad Fingers is an interesting and strange set of online videos made by this guy named David Firth. You can see them here:  http://www.fat-pie.com/index.html

I needed a gift for my son, who's 18 and a fan.

I made Salad Fingers with my trusty Knifty Knitter Looms. He's not perfect but I think he's charming, in that creepy, rusty spoon sort of way.
