1  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 17 ENTRIES / You Can't Take This Clock From Me (Now With Pictures!) on: February 28, 2007 08:59:58 PM
This is my geeky Firefly Clock.
The base was an old clock I got at the thrift store for $2.  I then used a steel air duct piece to make a big circle to go around it.  I scratched and dirtied-up the metal, then used a nail to put holes in the edges so that I could sew a suede cover on the sharp edges.
I printed out and laminated pictures of 12 of the show's characters, then attached magnets to the back so I could move them around or change them out for other characters later.
The background of the face is the Serenity symbol without the writing that I washed out and then glued on.

Whew, uploaded with mere seconds to spare...
