1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Some blankets, hats and a warmer on: October 29, 2009 12:03:00 PM
It's been awhile since I've posted some projects so here's what I've completed since summer...

A scrap afghan done in hdc about 5 x 5 feet, I went through quite alot of my washable yarn stash and I have to say I'm itching to start another one but it will have to wait till after the holiday crafting is done.

This blanket is for my best friends 9 yo daughter for Xmas. She picked the hot pink color and wanted the whole thing in pink and nothing else. Of course 2 weeks later blue was her favorite color  Smiley

This blanket was started from a free coaster pattern I found browsing online one day. I just loved the spiral look, so I just kept going and going and going. The blanket is almost 6 x 6 feet square and is nice and toasty.

The grey viking helmet was made for a friend of a friend as a joke. When I took it to work to show it off, a coworker HAD to have one in blue.

And here is a willie warmer, also made for a friend of a friend. I thought it looked pretty boring and plain so I decided to make it more like a hoodie  Smiley so I added a drawstring for the hood and a hand warmer.

2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Cotton Kitchen Towels and Potholders! on: May 05, 2009 03:53:19 PM
I really enjoyed making these sets for me and my sister, and since they don't take very long to make or much yarn to make, I definitely see these as quick xmas gifts!

3  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Crocheted Easter amigurumi's and eggs! on: April 11, 2009 06:16:39 PM
We don't really have alot of easter decorations so I figured I'd make some since I found a few free patterns last week

the 3 bunnies were from 2 different free patterns and the yellow chick was from lion brand's website. the egg pattern I just kinda winged cause the free pattern I had was too big to fit over the plastic eggs I had. And a girl at work asked for a carrot, so I made that up as I went along.

Happy Easter!
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Heart stuffie and pink rice crispy treat! on: February 14, 2008 05:00:43 PM
We didn't want to spend alot this year for Valentine's day so I made my hubby a heart stuffie from a free pattern I found online and he loves rice crispy treats so i tinted it pink and used a heart shaped tin to make it a heart shape.

He'll be home in about an hour so I hope he likes it!  Cheesy
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Xmas Elf Slippers on: February 02, 2008 08:42:45 AM
A friend of mine that doesn't crochet much requested a pair of elf slippers to wear for Xmas morning.....so here they are!

I was extremely impressed with myself when I finished them cause I thought they were so cute  Smiley  I wish I could have been there when my friend opened these...she sent a huge email telling me how much she absolutely loved them  Smiley and that really is what it's all about!!
6  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Extra Large Ice Cream Cone with a Cherry on: February 02, 2008 08:29:54 AM
I wonderful woman I worked with was retiring and she was an ince cream addict so it seemed only fitting that I make her the ultimate ice cream cone  Smiley

It's 10" tall and almost 8" around, she just loved it!
7  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / My Gnome and his Girlfriend on: February 02, 2008 08:26:30 AM
As soon as I saw the gnome pattern on lion brand's website I had to make him. After I finished him he looked kind of lonely so I whipped up a girl for him  Smiley

Her dress is actaully a dark lavender and not blue like in the picture.
