1  Weird ear flap hat? in Crochet: Completed Projects by lilie on: November 27, 2007 05:37:13 AM
Hi there

I've decided to crochet an ear flap hat. My first one ever...yea!
I've used this tutorial: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=204027.0
But my hat looks weird now, doesn't it? Already wore it out today and a friend just said 'interesting' hat.
Interesting usually means 'bad', right?

P.S Why are the pics so small? Originally they are much bigger Huh

2  My first pinafore dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by lilie on: January 23, 2007 07:04:49 AM

Well, I've decided to try to sew a pinafore dress, too.
It was actually very easy. It looks a little like 'Little house on the prairie' to me  Huh Now I'm wondering if I'm too old to be wearing this? I'm in my late 30's... Shocked What do you think?

3  Re: Rainbow cap and scarf in Crochet: Completed Projects by lilie on: January 01, 2007 11:54:34 AM
Here's the tutorial.
I tried my best to translate it. I guess the stitch is called 'front/back post stitch' like marleah said (Thank you!), not Raised double crochet. Anyway, don't know about the yarn, since we have different brands over here than you guys. Hope this helps, if you have any questions just holler  Wink If the tutorial is too small and not 'readable' let me know.

And thanks for the compliments  Wink

4  Rainbow cap and scarf/with tutorial in Crochet: Completed Projects by lilie on: January 01, 2007 08:34:19 AM

Just saw some lady wearing a similar scarf the other day and really liked it. Especially since the wintertime is so dark and depressing I thought these bright colors would be nice.
So I went to the next yarn store...well, this is the result  Wink
Now I'm not so sure if it isn't a little too colorful  Huh

5  Groovy shroom/ying yang bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by lilie on: December 18, 2006 10:11:09 AM
...and another one.
Dang, please someone make me stop making bags   Undecided

This is my favorite since I'm totally into hippie stuff. Just bought the ying yang patch at a 'christmas market', the burgundy fabric used to be a table cloth and the shroom fabric I bought years ago.

I promised my husband to take a break now...oh no...no more sewing  Shocked

Peace... Wink

6  Re: 2nd Messenger Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by lilie on: December 18, 2006 02:04:40 AM
Thanks you guys  Wink

Yes it's my 2nd bag ever. I've been sewing for awhile but never purses. The scarf was a thicker material, not sure what it's called.
It is the same patter I used as I did for the first bag. Really, really easy. I'm gonna post it again. There's one correction, though. Of course, it is 2x gussets. One fabric, one lining.

Peace  Grin

7  2nd Messenger Bag (with pattern) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by lilie on: December 17, 2006 09:08:47 AM
Hi there

I have the strange feeling that Iam hooked on making bags  Roll Eyes
No matter where I go I look around and see if I can find something I could make a bag out of...Like this one, it is made out of a scarf I saw the other day. The scarf was 90cm x 90cm, which wasn't enough for the bag so I had to use some brown corduroy for the lining. This is my 2nd bag, and I think I will actually use this one  Wink
