Awww….you guys are so kind!  As I mentioned I’ve learned so much off of this forum; edging, piping etc. etc.. I’m dying to try the honeycomb smocking that someone just posted.

I’m an artist and my latest body of work seeks to meld the object and viewer into one entity, blurring the lines between art, spectator, performer and artist. I’m interested in using the everyday in ways to make us question the everyday-(maybe not the best way to put it!).

My pieces are inspired by old films; the bathing caps of Esther Williams, football helmets worn by Harpo and Chico Marx and the staterooms inhabited by Ginger Rogers.  I also draw from sources of traditional corrective prosthetics, like ear horns and eyewear.

Sorry for the novel, I’m still pretty fresh out of grad. school and the wordiness hasn’t worn off yet!

  I love this site-it's a great way to procrastinate through grad school.
 I whipped up this slightly modified Butterick 4790 for a party last week.  basically wanted something to go with my new 85 yard pink petticoat (best e-bay purchase ever!).  great/easy pattern-has lots of modification potential.
