thanks to a wonderful pattern by Pips Purses I was able to create this gorgeous bag.

i used blue faced leicester wool which felted like a dream at 40 degress with only a towel for company....no tennis balls....golf balls or dog chews....

i would definietly make another one....but in a cheerier colour!!!

6  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / PDQ blues on: December 05, 2006 08:44:48 AM
I'm just frogging my PDQ attempt....sniffle

what went wrong?

I followed the instructions perfectly (or so I thought!!) but the hat turned out soooooo big.  I'm wondering if the wendy wool i used was to thick....i can't buy the wool used in the pattern in the UK. In the picture the hat looks more boxy with straight sides than the one I made, which just got wider and wider on each round - even though the stitch count was right.

I'm a bit stumped now. Anyone any ideas what went wrong?
