11  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: My rather offensive costume ..not for the faint of heart on: November 02, 2007 04:06:39 PM
Funny! I was thinking the same thing about the whole sexy costume stuff! They make everything sexy now! I was even going to dress as a "sexy shoelace" to prove that point!

Overall the costume is great. Very creative. I also think the wire hanger necklace is funny.

About it being offensive, everything about halloween is offensive!! Hello?!!! Bullets in heads, bloody bodies, dead people, decapitated people, everything! So I think arguing about it is somewhat pointless.

I like the costume and I admire your guts to actually post it!
12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: So..... who here likes peacocks? on: October 27, 2007 07:33:42 PM
It's gorgeous. It really is a great design. I love your color choices, and the mix of that Mari Antoinette style and a more modern style just looks so cool together. It looks awesome and I hope you do well in judging. You deserve it!

Damn you should be proud. That's awesome. It looks very professional. What is the mask made out of? Paper-mache?

Congrats.
14  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Hiroyuki, Gothic Lolita , Couture , Saloon Girl ! ? ! Whatever works on: October 26, 2007 03:43:12 PM
The piecing you did in this dress is really beautiful. It looks great together! It's also a great shape. It reminds me of a salon girl definitely. I also love the matching rose. I'm a big fan, great work!
15  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Dios de Los Muertos Swap on: October 23, 2007 01:40:12 AM
I received from my wonderful partner, cold dinner.
It was a jaw-dropping, awesome package! For someone who doesn't know much about El Dia De Los Muertos, she pulled it off really well. I'll be posting up some pictures up tomorrow after class and then you guys can see the awesomeness!
Thank you cold dinner!!!
I took pictures, I took pictures!! Here we go!
The whole shebang of crafted Dia De Los Muertos goodies:

Really, this is such an great package. The clutch is perfectly made and is absolutely beautiful! Plus she added a homemade skull cameo that is freaking cool! Then I got this cool knitted red beret hat thing which is perfect. It also has this little skull dude on it which is really cool.

The ipod cozy is adorable and fits perfectly. She also included some pretty barrettes and a choker that reminds me of some I had on my wists.

I L-O-V-E-D everything. I haven't sent off my package to cold dinner yet, so you can imagine the swap anxiety. I need to up my game!

P.S. I now realize the amount of times I wrote the word cool.
16  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Goth outfit in just one and a half days. on: October 21, 2007 07:06:45 PM
Wow. This is beautiful. You should really be proud of yourself. Not many people could pull that off, and not to mention in such a limited time period. The skirt part is awesome, I especially love the shot in the second picture, and it goes perfectly with the top and the corset. (I also really love the corset!) I'm really inspired!
17  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Pencil Costume. on: October 17, 2007 10:00:42 PM
Coolest. Costume. Ever. Seriously.
Such a funny and cool idea! You really made it well too. Reminds me of when I was in elementry school, and I wanted to be a shoelace. I love it.
18  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Hobo style golf pants? on: October 11, 2007 11:07:27 PM
Wow those are pretty freaking cool. They are definitely more golf looking. I'd love to have a pair in my closet. I can think of a good amount of ways to wear them and what to pair them with.
So, did you draft a pattern, or cut and sew?
I think they are the best. Nice....
