1  Re: Dios de Los Muertos Swap in The Swap Gallery by Rowdy Vamp Raquel on: October 23, 2007 01:40:12 AM
I received from my wonderful partner, cold dinner.
It was a jaw-dropping, awesome package! For someone who doesn't know much about El Dia De Los Muertos, she pulled it off really well. I'll be posting up some pictures up tomorrow after class and then you guys can see the awesomeness!
Thank you cold dinner!!!
I took pictures, I took pictures!! Here we go!
The whole shebang of crafted Dia De Los Muertos goodies:

Really, this is such an great package. The clutch is perfectly made and is absolutely beautiful! Plus she added a homemade skull cameo that is freaking cool! Then I got this cool knitted red beret hat thing which is perfect. It also has this little skull dude on it which is really cool.

The ipod cozy is adorable and fits perfectly. She also included some pretty barrettes and a choker that reminds me of some I had on my wists.

I L-O-V-E-D everything. I haven't sent off my package to cold dinner yet, so you can imagine the swap anxiety. I need to up my game!

P.S. I now realize the amount of times I wrote the word cool.

2  My New Coat. Featuring Tweed, a Peter Pan Collar, a Pleat, and much more.... in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Rowdy Vamp Raquel on: July 30, 2007 08:57:41 PM
I don't have a good name for this creation yet.

I designed and sewed this coat during my last days of high school. I had been eyeing the tweed fabric in my teacher's stash since the beginning of the year and I finally had the chance to use it.
I drafted the pattern and sewed it myself.
The coat includes a peter pan collar, small pleat on the back, blue lining, three pockets (one is hidden on the inside), blue button holes, and big round black buttons, and gathered sleeves.

It is one of the most difficult, yet best things I've made. Now you guys need to tell me what you think! Ready...Set...Go!

3  Re: Little Visitor Swap Round 6 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by Rowdy Vamp Raquel on: June 10, 2007 06:13:28 PM
Alrighty everyone, I received little Isis and her swap package from Sarahpanda today. Isis got to vacation in beautiful Ohio! Everything is awesome! She came back with the most coolest scrapbook. I seriously love it. There were also a lot of fliers and magazines to look at.

Sarahpanda also knitted Isis the cutest little sweater, sent some yummy chocolates, and some little dice for playing Dungeons and Dragons (i think?)
Thanks you soooo much Sarah!

4  A Locher's Dirty Embroidery Homage-"I Heart Porn" in Designer Clothing Homage by Rowdy Vamp Raquel on: June 09, 2007 09:08:03 PM
I am in love with Locher's dirty embroidery. And I mean in LOVE. I am so intrigued by the idea that something looks innocent, girly, and cute at first glance...but futher observation proves otherwise.
Soooooo, I decided to create a top inspired by their "I Heart Porn" shirt, seen here: http://www.lochers.com/collection8.html.
My top started off as a plain green, I added the pastel yellow stencil, created by me, and the yellow lace trim for added innocent-ness.

I bought a whole heap of pastel shirts and tops to create into Locher inspired pieces. Next I'm going for the "I Hate Children", seen here:http://www.lochers.com/collection14.html I love it!
P.S. Thanks to this thread for opening my eyes to Locher: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=169708.0
Disclaimer: I don't love porn. I've never even seen one...not that there is anything wrong with the adult film business.
Disclaimer II: I don't hate children.

What do you guys think?

5  Black and Silver Empire Waisted Prom Dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Rowdy Vamp Raquel on: June 05, 2007 11:37:59 AM
Prom was about a month ago, so this is kind of late. Here is my beautiful prom dress. Triangle top, empire, gathered at the waist, silver band, fully lined dress. I made two days before the prom. It is the best thing I've ever made.
I am absolutely in love with the dress. It is also the most expensive thing I've made. A whole 30$! But it's still alot cheaper than a store-bought dress.
I went with my boyfriend(now ex Sad), sister, and other guy friend.

In conclusion, I am so proud of my prom dress. I have it hanging on the wall in my room because I love to stare at it.
P.S. I made sure the twins were secure in the top.Smiley
Do you guys like?

6  Re: I Need Wist Assistance! Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Rowdy Vamp Raquel on: May 20, 2007 01:46:11 PM
I received the most coolest, perfectest, awesomest package from Liebschien. I seriously LOVE everything. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

First off, my top wisted item. A knitted wig! To some it may be a gag, but I seriously wanted one for use and I got it! Original(http://www.wists.com/RowdyVampRaquel/6b26bfab6aab1b2aca803889663ea215?offset=40) Mine:

Second, some more head gear. A pretty beret, which happens to like super cool on me. Original(http://www.wists.com/RowdyVampRaquel/b30ea18d3626e6538d59ef72e68ab781?offset=0) Mine-

Last, but not least, The coolest craft apron made out of the most fabulous fabric I have every laid my squintey eyes on! No more freaking out when I can't find my scissors to later find they were just hidden under a scrap piece of fabric! Original (http://www.wists.com/RowdyVampRaquel/05f756feb5adc19601558096969e47f9?offset=0) Mine-

The apron also has a pretty little bead spider sewn on it and she was cool enough to include some more of the fabric! Thank you so so much Liebschien! I don't think I could have recieved a better package.

I'm so in for round 2!

7  Re: Felt Mascot or Little Stuffie Swap R3 Foods! -- Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Rowdy Vamp Raquel on: April 25, 2007 10:51:36 PM
I received my package from Sheva today, and I am in awe. She sent the most awesome, detailed, cutest stuffies ever. It's also kind of funny because we sent each other little cakes.

Here is the whole package. When I first opened the box, I was greeted by a pretty felt sparrow (which I plan on sewing onto something very soon!), four nicely wrapped cakes, a ton of lollipops (Mmmmm...), and a card.

Gosh, talk about details! Every cake included delicious toppings! Sheva used embroidery and beads and everything is sooo cool!
Close up of the cool toppings:
Sheva, I cannot thank you enough for making this swap one of my best. I love everything you sent, and the lollipops are pretty good too. Anyone who gets you as a partner is extremely lucky.
P.S. Feel free to post better pictures if you have some.

8  The Rowdy Vamp... in Stenciling: Completed Projects by Rowdy Vamp Raquel on: April 25, 2007 10:08:26 PM
I think this is too late due to the time zones. (Damn, those time zones always get me.) But here is my entry:

The Rowdy Vamp Stencil. I was flipping though some tattoo magazines, looking for some ideas, I saw a crown, and knew exactly what I wanted to do.

Here is the actual stencil:
Can you tell it's a crown? I used my screen name (Rowdy Vamp) in some cool tattoo-style letters, some super cool spider webs, stars, and a crown.

I don't know what to put it on yet so here she is spray painted onto a piece of paper:

What do you think? Done with an x-acto knife and pencil, drawn on an ice-cream cone box.

9  Re: Significant Other Swap - Round 5 in The Swap Gallery by Rowdy Vamp Raquel on: April 15, 2007 02:00:46 PM
I received from my awesome partner Cinnamon Teal. Well, actually, my boyfriend Roger received. Here are the pictures. Roger got a cool wrist band with a cool skull guy on it, an even cooler hat, and an EVEN cooler guitar strap.

The wrist band and guitar strap. The weird thing is that roger insists on wearing it all the way towards his elbow. Words cannot describe how much Roger likes the guitar strap! He L-O-V-E-D it!

Next is a picture of Roger wearing the cool hat. Isn't it awesome?

This is the air-guitar-action-shot. He was doing this for like 30 min. straight.....It got very annoying.....

Thanks from me and Roger, we loved everything.
