1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / baby beanies on: February 08, 2009 11:11:11 PM
*Modified**********************************

To answer some question:
Yes, she is a girl and her name is Mia
I used a loom (knifty knitter) for the hats, so i guess that's actually "knitting", but I don't know how to knit, only crochet.
And here is the pattern for the ears. p.s. i used two strands of yarn instead of just one.

Row 1: (you can use pink for  inside of ears)ch 3, 7 hdc in 3rd ch from hook, fasten off.
if using pink work other color choice into 7 pink hdc and work 1 hdc of new color.

Row 2: ch 2, 2 hdc in each st across. ch 1, turn

Row 3: sc in each st across, fasten off.

Pretty simple. The ears where designed by Heidi Mcquigg. I just modified them a little. Hope it all makes sense.

Like everywhere else in America it's cold. I live in Oregon so it's cold, windy, foggy and wet. So I've been making my little one some beanies.

I did not take the pictures (aren't they great). I just made the hats.

comments loved!
thanks

2  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Spoonrest of Love on: January 27, 2009 02:05:27 AM
So i didn't make the spoonrest, but i did paint it. I painted it at one of those "paint your own pottery places". It's a goldfish in a bowl. The fishy is blowing heart shaped bubbles and around the base of the spoonrest is the quote "Once you choose love anything's possible." the word love is replaced with a blue heart. I choose to put this quote with the goldfish in a bowl because goldfish aren't thought of as being capable of much. I know it's a big statement for a spoonrest, but the "paint your own pottery place" taxes you and I wanted to get my $ worth.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Man Apron - First Post on: January 06, 2009 01:27:37 AM
So I'm a long time lurker (since 2006), but I'm finally posting something.

It's an apron for my boyfriend, (he loves to cook and is very messy) super easy i know. But seeing as I'm completely self taught and have a 5 month old I'm better happy.

i used the look of an towel apron for an example and winged it. He's a big guy (over 6 ft) so in total I used about 2 and 1/4 yards of fabric and 6 yards of bias tape. It was my first time using bias tape and i really love the stuff.
