but i am a beginner and i only know how to do the basic knit and purl stitches.. so can someone explain to me the YO and the k2tg stitch? thank you!

my friend has this scarf that i like alot, and the whole thing kinda looks like a flower pattern. ive been looking, but i cant find what im looking for, does anybody know how to knit a flower pattern?

ok... knit 2 purl 2 ribbing....

i know your supposed to just alternate, knit 2 stitches, purl 2 stitches, and so on... but once i finish a row, i dont know how to begin the next

say i begin the row with 2 knits and i end it on 2 knits, once i do the last 2 knits on the row what do i do next, 2 purls or 2 knits???

thanks for your help... but i still cant figure it out.
ive been trying for hours to purl, and ive looked at every one of those instructions atleast 30 times, and i still cant do it

So i want to knit a nice pair of mittens, but i am a beginner and i only know how to knit one way... and by looking at any pair of mittens, its apparent that my way isnt the right way for making mittens. This must be really confusing because i dont even know what term is used to describe what im looking for... but pretty much this is what i want to do:

also... if anyone knows of a good website that has good instructions for binding off.. that would be great, because i cant figure out how to do it

i bought this weird thread called "thick n' thin" and its pretty self explanatory. i want to knit a scarf but you see ive never knitted anything before. ive practised the 'basic beginners' knit... but this is my first actual project. could anyone suggest a good knit pattern for this kind of thread? thank yooouuu
